How rare are these cars?

Spyders definitely appear to be more abundant in the 2021 model year, as was mentioned in another thread this morning, there have been 471 produced for the US market to date, and 32 for Canada. The data available to data on VINanalytics can be found in google docs.

Final numbers for model year 2020 Spyders are 387 cars for USA, 140 for Canada, and 38 for other regions with US-like vehicle regulations (such as Puerto Rico and Saudi Arabia). The final model year 2020 Spyders were completed over the last week.

The vehicle needs to have a VIN assigned and transmitted to VINanalytics before I can look up anything. I believe it would be possible for me to look it up by commission number if I were an employee of Porsche North America or a dealer (and possibly only employees of the selling dealership group according to some sources).

How about a link to the VIN analytics advanced build sheet (a PDF of all options plus MSRP)? I could probably write some code to generate those links easier than running through them all again to look up the MSRP.

I find this information so cool, nice to see how the cars were outfitted and what the final tally was...

Maybe the VIN analytics folks have an API but they do seem to make attempts at blocking bot traffic. I have hit this when doing repeated lookups and I'm not that quick

Not 100% related but normally how long has it been going from V200 to V250 status for GT4/Spyders?

True enough. I don’t know about any APIs, but definitely hit CAPCHA checks, especially when trying to find the one VIN they now have info on when I find that the VIN I just looked up has a gap in the sequence number.

I think they are at v200 when the commission numbers are released to the dealers, once a quarter. V250 is typically a few weeks before V260, so it depends on how far out the vehicle is supposed to enter production from the time the dealer gets an allocation.

Thanks for trying, yes nothing that is of any perceived value stays free for long. Thanks for adding the prices you have, I may try to do the same for the 2020 Spyders, of which mine is but one...
