This spread sheet is amazing! What a very interesting and useful piece of work. Time well spent and much appreciated!
Is there thought to include wheels in the spreadsheet. I personally would love to see that. would anyone else?

Interesting data for sure!
Racing Yellow the rarest color excluding PTS.
18 Ways by far the most popular, despite few on this forum interested
Spreadsheet also illustrates the drying up of NA allocations. Big push Sep-Dec, few in Jan...now pretty much stuck at 475 for a month. Perhaps a good view of Porsche line scheduling.

Spyders definitely appear to be more abundant in the 2021 model year, as was mentioned in another thread this morning, there have been 471 produced for the US market to date, and 32 for Canada. The data available to data on VINanalytics can be found in google docs.

I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking the stop sale / 4.0 engine problems may have a silver lining for those of us who already have the cars in hand. If the problems impact production significantly, that means fewer (and rarer) cars.

I wonder if the delay in the next generation electric or hybrid 718 being developed will mean they will keep producing current generation 718s for another 3-4 years, perhaps with some minimal updates to meet changing regulations. Maybe they'll do a 5 or 6 year production run, building as many as the market will bear while they work to develop a suitable electrified successor.

These aren’t as mass produced as some models, but they also aren’t rare limited edition collector models. I hope they build one for everyone that wants to buy one for as long as they can. First, I hope they fix my engine and send me my damn car

I'd prefer there would be more of these around. Helps with keeping them long term (parts availability, finding replacement car easier, etc).

I’ve already started a spreadsheet for the GT4. It’s located at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

There are a couple of these out there between Spyder and GT4.
Unless I’m mistaken they surf each vin manually on VA and then enter the information in the spreadsheet...also manually.

As TXShaggy notes, it is a multi-part process, that involves finding valid VINs, then putting them into VIN Analytics, and then manually adding the desired items to the spreadsheet.
I was, and still am, very interested in the numbers since my car is Python Green. I wanted to see just how the colors turned out on numbers. It’s also quite interesting to see the split between manual and PDK, as well as seat types.
I’m certainly happy to share the specifics with you on how to do it. I’ll also force myself back to working on it. It gets challenging at a certain point because some cars don’t show up when they should, so you have to go back and check those again at a later date. That’s where I was as of the last updating I did.
