I believe you, but da fuq? How does that make sense? It’s not like you get crammed into a tour bus for your ‘rings laps (buses have been banned for a while.) Trackside personnel aren’t exactly confined in close proximity.

I guess they worry that there are no hospital beds for drivers that get it hard shiny side down.

now the real problem is the region the Nürburgring is in is under quarantine and all track activities have been canceled or fixing to be. Just like the rest of us they have been brought to a firm hault.
That's great information...thanks for letting me know...

You're forgetting the parking lot crowds, the shops, etc, etc, etc. Expand your horizon.

Porsche cancelled my ED today
2 options:
1- Normal delivery
2- Another date, later, if possible (nothing solid)

I opted for normal delivery... ED is still on my bucket list, another car, another year

Apparently, VW shut down their plants. Porsche is obviously next... Will create delays for sure

Be safe everybody

1) when was your original ED date?
2) did VW close German plants? Or just the Italian plants?

Sorry to hear. I’m expecting the same email any day. I spoke to the GM at my dealer yesterday but didn’t have any information directly from Porsche. I was booked for end of May. It was part of a significant celebration. Disappointing for sure but others are having more significant problems in grand scheme of things.

So when you accepted 'normal delivery' he did mention anything about a possible delay for that as well?

What time line did he give you for V260/V270 and entry/exit Emden?

Guess I am lucky, my car is complete and is being shipped to local dealer - no extra charges. ED was May 27

Folks,
To answer some questions up here, the best I can (I dont have a crystal ball!)

My ED was scheduled for April 29th
The email was saying 8-10 weeks after production but if you look at the news, you know it wont happen...

IMHO: I dont see Porsche keeping plants/operations for long if everybody else around them are shutting down.

Stay safe!

Ok thanks for the info. You got lucky if your cars have been built already. Mine was supposed to be built next week... not sure it's happening!

As I have said above mine is scheduled for June 30. Anticipate mine will get cancelled. Bummer, but these are strange times. My sports car seem a bit insignificant now in big picture of things

I wasn’t there on weekends. Several weekdays. No crowds. Anywhere. Anytime. Pistenklause was 1/2-full at dinner.

So, fine. Close it on the weekends.

Are manufacturers’ operations at the ring shutdown? Or only Touristfahrten?

Congrats, care to share this following: your V260/V270 and entry/exit Emden?
