I think we can now conclude that these test car pics have mostly undisguised C-pillar vents... (Sourced from here - https://www.carscoops.com/2021/01/20...-licking-good/ )

Ah I misunderstood.

Good point about the lower side intake. I saw those orange car pics and it's not at a good angle, but you are right there is something black there.

I assumed the lower intake cover was still there but Carbon Fiber or matte black or something. But it's not clear to see from the orange car pics All the GT4 RS test cars we have seen have the vent covers though...

What do we think is going on with these two areas?

Render alert! Turns out these images may be the result of an exceptionally talented photoshopper on Instagram who put out the originals.... and duped us all!

i just wish we could peer into the glass to see how they have sealed off the passenger compartment at the rear quarter windows... are they hard plastic tubes from the vents into the engine?.. sort of like on a mclaren 600LT roof scoop? .. where you have ducting attached to the body of the car?

because if so the noise is going to be terrible/awesomely loud.

Ducting the air to the engine compartment is not that hard if they modify the plastic trim on the side that have those small cargo spaces/pockets back there...how you get the air from there to the filters is another thing, space in there is not that great and lots of heat.

So the part on top of the fender is a vent similar to what was on the GT3 RS.

As far as the big 'ole black plastic pieces on the sides of the bumper, that looks like an air guiding device put there to help with front downforce. Since the rear now has a swan neck wing that appears to be higher up in the air stream, I'm guessing it's also more efficient since it's now a swan neck mount, they have to balance that on the front of the car. Since, adding a similar wing on the front of the car isn't possible, they're adding downforce by cleaning up the air around parts that create disturbances and therefore lift and drag. This looks like it'll be in addition to the air curtains already on the GT4/Spyder where the air is being picked up from the side of the left and right intakes. This piece looks like it's picking up the air as it passes around the outside of the bumpers and then meets the air from the intakes to really accelerate the air from the wheel well. Then the vents on top of the fenders should really help reduce the air pressure and therefore adding to the reduced lift, reduced drag, and therefore downforce.

Funny how we got duped and it was right in front of our eyes. I think the car looks great. It looks even lower than the GT4/Spyder in these pictures. I know the "standard" GT4/Spyder have adjustable ride heights but I would think that the GT4 RS may end up being another 5mm or 10mm lower as these pictures have the cars sitting really low with very little wheel gap.

Also, it would seem that if these pictures are real, then Porsche will be introducing another color to the palate and I'm not aware of them introducing a car in the PTS color. So in addition to Shark Blue, we have some sort orange (maybe metallic.) ...unless this is Shark "Blue" and we were all wrong.
