I think they are really going to bump up the coming 992 GT3 RS and that PAG is no longer holding back the Cayman, especially with the 4 RS. The current 982 car can do a 7:22 on a Nring with the manual I bet that the PDK will do 7:15. I think the 4RS car will surprise on output and be breaking records. Even if it isn't 500 hp some fancy titanium bolt ons, ecu tune and its over 500.

Thats my bet, sorry but i'm not sorry and have a different opinion lol
Where did you see 7:22?

I think he must’ve meant 7:32.

The 7:22 is on the partial course (Bridge to Gantry) that is omitting around 20 seconds. Can even see the missing straight and "Bridge to Gantry" on the track map on the race navigator:

This is the configuration used on Tourist days. Full laps are only possible on private track days.

BTW, on the 991.2 GT3 the PDK-S is only worth 3 seconds. Don't see the GT4RS's PDK being worth 7...

Yeah, that's not the full course. Christian Gebhardt ran a 7:32 on the full course in the 718 GT4.

Except they have. The 991.2 at first was selling well, but slowed down a lot. GT4s are already available on lots and allocations at MSRP. I don’t think they will push the MSRP of the new GT3 much beyond the last one, which already had a 10k+ jump from the .1. I’m thinking 150k base. But it’s not just about price. You have to look at performance per dollar. Porsche has been very very reliable with performance per dollar in their lineup. I guess you all can dream about a 500hp GT4 RS, but it makes no sense. I would guess 425-430. 450 at the very most.

I agree 450hp. 7:10 to 7:15 ring time. I think the 992 GT3 will make a decent step up in price to around 160. If it matches the performance of the .2 3RS, I'd say it still represents decent value (relative).

Are you expecting that laptime with or without the Cup R tires?

You think 36hp is going to drop the ring time by 17 to 22 seconds?

With Cup 2 R. 7:28 - 3 secs PDK - 8 secs Cup2R = 7:19. Aero and hp can get you into 7:10 - 7:15 easily.

Will be interesting to see - these cars are getting faster at an amazing rate...

But I consider the R tires to be a little bit of a "cheat". They only work well at that pace for around 2 laps of the Ring...

Maybe in make believe on-paper land, but in the real world of actual verified lap times, it’s pretty unlikely a 450hp RS is going to dip into the sub 7:15 range, much less 7:10. But who knows. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Not sure how many folks have been following the 992GT3 threads, lots of new info revealed in the past few days. Finally a proper front suspension on the GT3.

Having been a GT owner from 997.2 GT3 up through current 991.2 3RS, who do you see Porsche is marketing the 4 RS to?

Admittedly, I'm curious. I drove a friends 981 GT4 that was dialed in with camber plates/suspension updates and Dundon exhaust and it was amazing. The balance and handling in tight turns was excellent. Sure, in a straight line a GT3 and RS would pull away.
