Yeah...they are heavy. Get an Antigravity or if you can splurge $$$$ a Braille in Carbon Fiber...have one here, 9 lbs.
A good catback could also cut some weight from the rear....none available so far.

For one second I thought this GT4RS belongs to a member of this forum, then i realized it wasn't. Just a teaser.

/QUOTE]

I remember the standard 987.2 Cayman battery weighed 54 lbs. A Cayman R had a special battery that weighed 44 lbs. So the GT4RS is along the same battery philosophy as the R. I have used a 24 lb battery from a Honda Goldwing motorcycle with no problems for the past 11 years. It was only around $126. with shipping.
I do not think a Li battery from a GT3 will work because of an article I read in Panorama talking about unique circuitry in the GT3 for the Li battery.

That the battery is so heavy is good news. Won't be long and you will have 10lbs LI-options available.

A question for those who have already received their GT4RS.
Did your GT4RS come with the center lock wheel nut removal tool?

Glad to have that confirmed. Thank you.
I got news on a video that a new Porsche with center lock wheels no longer got the tool since Porsche wanted the customers to take the car to a dealer for any service involving removing the wheels. That made me wonder about the GT4RS.

No idea, But will probably purchase a lithium one from Antigravity or Braille. Its a H6/Group 48 battery size if you are looking for OEM fit.
Like JmartinPR said, it makes sense to make this change with the installation of an aftermarket exhaust...
