bitter? Wtf are you talking about? I was just laughing about the ‘Porsche said these cars are going to real drivers’ nonsense. If you buy that I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Not bitter at all. It’s obvious that you’re a baller...

i didn't say that. i said my SA who i have a long standing relationship with said THEY will do that, which they have a track record of doing.

i never said anything about porsche.... you're just extrapolating whatever it is you want to be negative about.

Yup, almost certain no manual transmission for GT4RS.

I still dream of a send off type of car for the 718 with a manual transmission before electric versions start taking over.

If no such car, I am still more than happy with the GT4 manual.

All you guys need to relax, the GT4RS will not be a numbered car. Will it be hard to get when it first comes out, yes because the non-mortals will take a lot of the allocations but it'll be obtainable for MSRP and will trade below just like GT3/RS/GT2RS. They'll probably reveal it Spring 2021 and US deliveries will be Fall 2021 with a MY2022. There's my educated guess.

That seems odd, my 6 speed shows Completion 10/9, 10/30 Exit Emden, 11/20 Exit Houston, 11/27 Dealer Inventory.
Maybe you're not in Texas, but almost a month to get to your dealer?

He's in North Dakota. The last leg to the dealer is by mule train

Fact! Typically they will load up Minneapolis cars on the same transport then drop ours off last. This happened with my old Macan back when they first came out - it got to the dealer 3 weeks before the official release day so I couldn’t take delivery until that day. I still haven’t had a car take more than 5-6 days to get here after it was released for transport in Houston.

Now that I have my beautiful 718 GT4 tucked away in the garage the mind can wander to the next car, GT4 RS.

My hunch is that we are less than 6 months away from an official announcement.

What would the car have to have for you to make the leap from GT4?

For me, it’s a 6-speed manual transmission.

We probably need a poll to do Porsche’s market research for them, but here is my list:

1. Five lug. NO center locks
2. 6-speed option as a minimum
3. We won’t get a GT3 motor, but a 9A2 Evo with 450 bhp would be nice.
4. PCCBs as an option, not standard
5. Forged wheels with reduced weight
6. 100kg weight loss
7. Simplified exhaust set up
8. $125,000 or less.
9. Usual RS aero tidbits
10. Fender flares to accommodate a 265/325 set up.

Would the above be worth the premium?

Wouldn't the GT4RS formula just be akin to what they do to the GT3 -> GT3RS upgrade? I don't see why there's so much other speculation on what this car will be.

1. More aero / downforce.
2. PDK only.
3. Increase power output by +20 - 30 hp / tq, utilizing the same 4.0L 9AEVO2. I would vote higher RPM, but the new piezo injectors are only good for 8k RPM.
4. Improved suspension bits- more metal ball joints, perhaps more adjustability. Improved PASM tuning.
5. More aggressive tires.
6. CF bits -hood, front fenders, magnesium roof.
7. Lightweight gorilla glass
used on the rear side windows and rear hatch window.
8. 30%+ base price premium - $130k

he said nobody at the dealership level knows when production will end right now. he did say they just got two more spyder allocations and PTS production of new Spyder allocations will begin November/December.

if you're interested let me know and I am happy to refer you.
