I just don't see why you would even be replacing rotors with PCCBs. Unless you get a rock in there or something they don't really go bad from everything I ever hear about them. You would just be doing pads. I only track 3 or 4 times a year, but I've had my GT3 for 2 years, just hit 15,000 miles, and I don't foresee me replacing rotors as long as I own the car. I'm bummed my 4RS is going to have to have steels.

I tracked my GT3 5 days at COTA on the PCCB's. Performance is fantastic with literally zero brake fade. Although, I did swap rotors and pads for a steel conversion. Tracking PCCB's just isn't feasible.

Yeah that is what I thought. Hearing everyone here rave about them spiked my interest to option them. But not feasible in optioning them if you are a track-pig.

Pretty much. No one wants to pony up almost 30k for new rotors once they die.

I would 100% still option with even if I plan to swap. They're worth the expense IMO.

If everything works out it should be lighter that the OEM setup, save the Forged wheels/tires just for street use, brake better, easier pad changes and better tire options...and I can go back to almost new stock brakes if I decide to sell down the line.
Are you aware if there is an AP Brake Kit that both allows the use of 19 inch wheels and 5 studs or 5 bolts in place of the centerlocks? That would sure solve my dilemas, or reducing weight thru 19inch as in the GT4RS Clubsport and make for easier emergency repairs on road trips. I could not find what I am looking for on their website.

So serious question, if they are saying at WOT that its 100db inside the car......what does that mean for the actual noise on the track at WOT?

Not sure the quoted 100dB figure is an actual reading or what one or two testers have imagine it would be.

In any case the noise or music inside the car will be exaggerated because it is within the confines of the cabin and the outside noise from the exhaust will likely be tamer.

All I know is that our track with a 92dB limit, all GT3s, GT3RS (and others) break the 92dB limit all the time without special exhaust mods fitted to the car.

Nothing, it's pretty quiet on the outside. The interior volume is from the intake, not the exhaust.

I wonder then what they were testing here. North American non-OPF system perhaps (hopefully)?

Going from CL to 5 Lugs will require a host of other parts from Porsche which I don't know yet if they are available. My plan was to stay with CL.
The front AP kit from the 992 will probably bolt, they do need to test it on a 4RS. Rear one we still need the details if this was a carry over from GT4 or from 992 GT3.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure they will do a F+R kit once Porsche start delivering cars in the US...and with a 394 mm front rotor and their caliper you are almost at PCCB weight while being able to fit 19" wheels.
Another option would be if PFC develops their 380 kit for the 4RS.

Hard to judge absolute volume shot from a phone...in any case they test a lof of different things.

Here's 992 GT3 vs GT4 RS

Any thoughts about the front axle lift relevance? the GT4 and spyder did ok without. I am using the spyder and have no complaints. would it be useful to spec it on the GT4RS?

I plan to mostly because the front wing is even larger than the GT4’s but I don’t think it’s an absolute life saver from what I’ve read here. If you don’t disengage it after the front has cleared, you risk scraping the rear diffuser. Still it’s reasonably priced…
