INTERIOR SOUND without the WP Air Scoops:
AP said in the Top Gear video that the WP gives a better interior sound because it includes the hoods or scoops made out of carbon fiber that are in place of the small side windows. AP said this scoop gives a little ram effect and the chamber of air, under the scoops, gives a better interior sound, but louder, a little bit.
I would assume the difference is less about the scoops and more because carbon reinforcement makes for a much stiffer plastic duct. I’d expect the intake sound to be better in the same way as an exhaust made of steel versus a stiffer (thinner) titanium exhaust which is often described as having a higher and “more exotic” pitch.
Glad Porsche included a base car along with WP cars. Also good to compare aluminum and magnesium wheels. Not sure if the gray or yellow have iron or PCCB brakes?
I like the exhaust sound, but wonder if it's been enhanced in this video.
I'd like to hear the induction roar within the cabin - that should sound pretty epic.
I agree the exhaust sounds good. I think I would leave mine from factory. Sounds like some journalists at times were running the cars in a higher gear with the engine under load rather than running at 8000 to 9000 range.
I linked a Raitis Rides video a few days ago in this thread of a GT4RS Clubsport (non Weissach duct work of course) running at Daytona flat out with I think the interior sound being overdubbed with Raitis voice and the interior noise sounded good to me. So I have no concerns with ordering a non WP GT4RS even though AP said the WP sounds better in the Top Gear video.

Not gonna lie, was hoping for a higher pitch, more frantic exhaust note towards the redline.
Also don't like the mis-match of interior satin and polished carbon fibre bits. They should have kept it consistent: polished CF seats + polished CF dash bits.
WP racetex dash also doesn't continue onto the door top trim, but then again, the smooth leather on the seats would stick out.
Also feel rear lower bumper could have been more aggressive looking.
