Another theory is that they fitted wider wheel/tires...they needed to change the fender anyway for the vents and made it a bit wider, but in order to make it flush with the door and rocker they trim it. At the front of the bumper it's already modify with the corners.
Trying to decide if the rear fenders look wider? The rear diffuser is designed a little different on the sides, and the rocker being more pronounced makes me think the rear fender is a little wider to accommodate wider tires.
The Manthey Kit for the 718 GT4 includes those small winglets next to the diffuser on the rear bumper sides... Apparently, those are required by law when tire/wheel protrudes. Could it be they fitted wider wheels/tires to the 4RS? That would be interesting.

Actually those MR wings are to meet regulations and are installed on top because when you increase camber on the rear the rear wheel/tire combo will stick out passed the imaginary line from the fender to the ground which is against cert.

So...either it has a more aggressive alignment or wider tires?
@CAlexio You have an inside line on spyder rs info, or just repeating what you’ve gleaned off the board? You’re implying it’s a limited production (numbered?) special edition. That wouldn’t surprise me, although it would definitely disappoint me. Info or theory?

Not repeating I promise, I hate spreading or contributing to rumors. If I don't know (which is 95% or the time) I say "I wonder" or "I bet".. because I have no clue . Spyder RS I Got it from the cleaning lady then confirmed with a true insider VIP. Less than a 1000 produced, 1 year production, 2023.
I've been angling for one by offering GT4Rs allocation in exchange.. an even longer shot than my wife saying yes to me when I proposed - Total surprise if it happens. It's gonna be very very hard for many, most of us.
Well...poop. I'll never get within a country mile of an allocation, then. If they are selling to the 918 crowd, seems like a total waste of a car. What do you want a spyder for if you have a 918? I guess as a beater to take to the mall during Xmas? Bleh.
Heck, at this point, I should just be grateful if my spyder April delivery date holds. lol Fun fun.

Did the cleaning lady say if the Spyder RS will be manual?
It looks to me like the brakes are perhaps the larger 408mm iron setup from the 992 GT3 vs the 380mm fronts from the GT4. I'm assuming the RS wheel is a 20", but the rotors look bigger than the GT4 and the hat looks like the 992 GT3 as well. It's going to be interesting to fit 19" wheels if it has the 408mm rotors.
