You have to remember that the buyers for this car, all of you that are hitting F9 on this thread every 30 seconds will absolutely pay for a GT4RS. You could go buy a GT3 and one would think you would be happy, but you won't because you will not be. You guys are Cayman guys. You are the same people that ship your cars to our shop to have engines installed because you want more power but love your Cayman too much to part ways with it. You are hardcore Porsche enthusiasts and the truly hardcore Cayman enthusiasts aren't going to wince when the greatest Cayman ever produced is available to you especially because there may not be one after. Don't slip. I don't have a single piece of official information about the GT4RS road car but all i can say is that people like me that said "it would never happen" are now saying "holy snikeys, it's happening!" There you go!

That makes two of us....I always though the mules lapping the ring were test vehicles for the Clubsports upgrades.....which will probably end on the CS anyway.

Ok, now I'm really curious what the F9 button does, and where do I find it on my iPhone?
Yes excited about GT4RS allocation probably more than GT3... but probably most excited about the roofless version which follows it..

RS version as final goodbye for a platform
Just out of curiosity, there has been another RS version that was not a 911 and was the final goodbye... For the WC front engine 924/944/968...
Maybe has been said already...

Mamba Green, starting at 1:20. The RS would look epic in this color.

A PTS Signal Yellow GT3 was at our track day today... Such a fantastic color and so much nicer IMHO than Race Yellow or Speed Yellow. Pictures just don't do it justice.
I'm sure there are many reasons why Porsche will not use it on the GT4RS launch, but what if???

Respectfully, I would argue quite the contrary. Many numbers have been selected on a marketing basis. 356 was picked purely for marketing and I suspect 901 was picked the same way. There was a logic applied to many numbers in the 60s and 80s, and a different but brief logic for the late 80s thru the 90s.

I just spotted a GT4RS yesterday. I work in Carson in an industrial complex area about a mile for the Porsche Experience Center LA so we see Porsche development vehicles relatively often. He was driving very slowly as the roads are very bumpy in this area. Standard black of all the Porsche development vehicles. But it had a US plate on it in a US spec bumper.
