You are making my point for me. Thanks.
Go back and re-read more carefully what i wrote over the last few pages. You have apprehended a understanding completely in opposition to what I intended to describe,
For example, immediately above you completely misapprehended that what you quoted from me was a statement about internal “part numbers” not external model designations controlled by Marketing.
Do some research on PAG’s historical use of double wishbone suspensions.
And even if any of what you write was true, none of it is a dominant cost. It is the modeling and testing for, and actual, regulatory approval in every market (TUV, DOT, etc.) that dominates the cost of such a change.

I know the models that have front dual wishbones. The 991 design I referenced was the 991.2 GT3R which was still kind of based on the production car. The 991 RSR's setup is a bit more exotic.

Any chance they would do Carmine Red as the launch color? IMHO one of the best looking colors on the GT4.

My guess is a new orange. They have been "redoing" retro colors, with the new green and the new blue. Already have bold yellow and red. I'm thinking a true orange to replace Lava. Think a new version similar to Signal Orange, Gulf Orange, Orange red. Maybe a VW Habanero Orange 🧡. Or Audi Pulse Orange 🍊

I feel like it's too subtle a color for a GT launch color. Usually it's something vibrant and bright like Lava Orange, Lizard Green, Racing Yellow, Shark Blue, etc. My guess is an orange of some sort, as they've been bringing that back into the lineup. The launch color could be Papaya, as that is something that they brought back with the new Macan and I believe Panamera+Taycan. I don't think Racing Yellow is really a possibility as that is usually what they use for non-RS car launches. ( 991.2 GT3, 718 GT4, 981 GT4, etc ) Another possibility I see is Mamba Green, Lava Orange, or some new kind of silver/gray. Maybe Artic Grey? Another thing is, Porsche usually doesn't re-use launch colors for RS cars, so it'll probably be something that has never been an option on an RS car previously or it's just a new color altogether.

Now, back to our regularly-scheduled speculation on HP/PS, price, and launch color.

I understand these are old spy shots from several months back ...but the latest mules look credibly similar to them ...
Maybe, just maybe .... the launch color could be this orange-copper variation?

Where I live in Europe the GT4 PDK list price is "only" 60% of the GT3 list price.
If your prediction will come in correct, then the GT4 RS will have a 40% increase in price compared to the GT4 and will come at basically the same list price as a GT3 in USA.
One way to look at it is that a GT4 will be a difficult sale in Europe (I think) at the same price of a GT3 (about 200- 210k total) ...This means at the same price or a few thousands lower than cars in a different class ...
Another way to look at it would be for the GT4 RS to be about 40K-50k (USD, EURO or SFR) more expensive than a GT4: this makes the car (around 180k) a better marketing proposition in Europe.

Curretly, if I am understanding correctly, the list price of the GT4 in USA is about 70% of the list price for the GT3 (USD 100k vs 143k).

MSRP of a GT3 in the US is 161.2 w/o delivery, so all the mats above are nqr.

Then the GT4 price is close to 60% of the GT3 price also in USA and you are forecasting the GT4 RS to be 45% more expensive than the GT4 but still about 10% less expensive than the GT3 ... That would make the GT4 RS a 175-185k €/Sfr car in Europe and would make marketing sense.
I do not see many takers at a price point equivalent to the GT3 ...
