Now you are making the assumption that the Octane rating is based on the US system. If you 👀 at the previous CS’s rating it was 98 as well but RON based.
You focus on engine rumors but take the gas octane for gospel.
👹
True, could be euro vs us octane. Good point. Makes sense they would use euro.
But rumor? I assume we’re both going off the snap below, so you lost me there. If you’re talking about the gt3 motor not fitting (without significant plumbing work), numerous people have gone on at length (in videos, here, etc) but I guess they could have been wrong. First time I have heard anyone say otherwise, though. Or maybe you’ve heard they did that work…?
How closely does a homologation car sold for the street need to represent it’s race car variant, especially wrt the power train? I don’t know the rules there.

Guess this doesn't really provide an answer as to whether this is the 992 GT3 engine as the bore and stroke of the existing 718 GT4 and the 992 GT3 are exactly the same (102mm x 81.5mm). Anything else that would give us a clue?

Keep guessing my friends....if the 718 CS gen 2 gets the 992 cup car engine that means nothing...remember the street car had a new engine while the CS had the 9A1 engine with the upgrades we should have gotten when the 981 GT4 was launched.
The thing is how is PAG going to spread the cost of the 9A2 if nothing else down the line uses that engine......besides the fact you are going to **** off a lot of 992 owners that just focus on numbers.

Usually they say something like Dry Sump with separate oil supply (GT3) or Integrated Dry Sump (GT4), but that description is conveniently missing.
Plot thickens. The dates given above for November do match some allocation dates. But nothing I’ve hear has been shared.
Feeling like that guy in One Crazy Summer, who spent the summer listening to the radio for 1 particular song…then when it airs he rips the phone cord from the wall.

Hope my luck is better than his.
Why would ripping the phone cord out kill a radio?
Just to confirm, are you saying that GT4RS allocation dates have already been given to some customers starting in Nov 2021?
Let's just say that the people who are interested in them already have had conversations about this car. expected 2 years of limited production and keen interest from just about everyone who has any sort of connection. It's possible for latecomers to get one I suppose but not likely.
