Do you guys expect additional updates to the infotainment system and a switch to touch sensitive controls?

2) 991.2 style steering wheel, so none of the stupid buttons like the 992 GT3 wheel
3) Car has Cup 2Rs, probably +10 front and rear for 255/35/20 front and 305/30/20 rear. I can't really tell, but maybe the cars have 21in rears like the previous GT3 RS' have.
4) I can hardly tell, but it seems like the venting for the side window intakes goes directly to the engine bay, and is not routed around the back ( in the trunk area behind the engine ) as seen on the BGB and BBi cars.
5) Car has the 992 GT3 buckets
6) This one could also be angle, but it seems like the first car ( in the first image ) has it's wing sitting higher up than the car behind it. Maybe the 1st car is the Weissach car and the one in the rear is the standard one. That would also explain the difference in side window intakes between the two cars.

To me, the wheels/tires look like the same as the GT4. If it has 255's (and hence probably a 9" wheel) I don't think the front wheel would look so inset as it does, I would think it would be a bit more flush with the fender.

So are you saying that the GT4 RS is a big upgrade over the GT4?

I think he was saying, "wait until November!"

for all of you in the "no way it's more than 450hp" here's your chance to vote
thread back in November 2020
as Maxwell Smart said, "missed it by that much" on the GT3 pricing (I was in the over $164,000 group)
have been in the over 450hp camp

Looks to me like the “difference” is the black tape coming loose on the driver’s side,

No. The 971/Y90/992-style haptic buttonless HMI is associated with the new platforms introduced over the last few years. The 718 is still based upon the 991/981 platform. Porsche doesn’t change interior systems architecture except in conjunction with a new platform.

I'm getting the conversation second hand, but the drivers acknowledged they were doing altitude testing. These were clearly test mules and could have any combo of engine, exhaust, aero, etc. just for experimentation.

I just saw the next Cayman race car. It is going to be rather epic and it now makes sense to me what you're seeing in all those spy photos and videos.

Much like I said last time, you will all be very happy!

Cheers!

Well my rumor mill, all the $0.02 I paid for 😈, indicates that the 718 GT4CS will quite possibly have a 992 Cup engine with restrictor, a new PDK with different gearing and unlike the cludge side window air inlet tubing of the previous gen those new ones will now feed directly into the engine cover (as seen in the blow up of recently posted RS pics).

Can you imagine how great a new pdk with different gearing would be? 8 speed super short gears, always in the powerband.

I’d pay an extra $3-5000 over and above the current PDK price for an 8 speed like that.

Even 7 would be a big improvement (current PDK has 6 performance gears and one more - shortened, but still not a performance gear as top speed comes in 6th). I wouldn't be surprised to see the RS use the GT4's PDK but with a lower final drive that allows the use of 7th for top speed.

Maybe they'll also add the electronically controlled LSD like in the PDK version of the GT3.

I think the 8spd would add even more weight.

The new 8-speed PDK is too large to fit the 718. There isn't enough room in the present 7-speed PDK for another gear AFAIK.
