My guess is with suspensiongate and con rodgate on their minds along with supply chain disruptions, the GT4RS may be delayed to allow for better timing. What's the point of introducing it now if current stop sales won't be back on the road until summer or so? Maybe closer to when things settle down is my guess, say June or July-ish.

Original scheduled release for RS was July but all releases for all models (992 GTS, 992 Touring, Sport Classic, Cayenne Couple GT, Macan III, etc) have been pushed out 1-2 months due to supply issues. So expect the GT4 RS in August or September.

Another thing to look forward to for 718 GT4 owners is the potential for GT4 RS parts for be available for purchase and potentially bolt on. Without details, it's hard to know the viability of this, but it's still exciting to think about. If the exhaust mounts end up being the same (assuming an upgraded 9A2 Evo engine instead of an entirely different engine), maybe the rear muffler + exhaust can be a bolt on part. It would probably be pretty expensive, but could be cool.
Would be good to compare different approaches, vs. say going with the Akrapovic Ti exhaust. Same with the rear wing + front aero mods.
Maybe none of it is possible without a GT4 RS VIN, but it's still a potential thing to look forward to v. aftermarket.

I am fully in agreement, that the pricing for GT4RS will push GT4RS to a territory of 991.2 GT3. And I have a feeling that GT3 will still be faster both on a racetrack and on a straight line.
It is quite questionable which one to pick for the same price:
- preowned GT3 but with low milage in a perfect condition and with a glorious engine
or
- a new GT4RS, a nice midengine car but with less power and a slower car in general

I have a .2 GT3 and just started tracking it; absolutely love it.... but if the gt4rs is a faster track car (in general) then I would try to find a allocation and sell my gt3. Just don't know which car is "better"
