Have ANY of the mules had front fender vents? I thought we only saw that in a fake render made by a fan.

That may just be some sort of permit afixed there and not an indication of MY, etc.

Well, this mule hints toward the possibility of a fender vent...

Yes they've had a visible camo patch on the fender until now. They've done similar camo on 911 RS models before.

And they put new cars on existing plates all the time, or simply put different parts on them to test. Lot of effort to change it from CL to 5-lug tho.

Not really since the original mule had 5 lugs and later ones were seen with CLs. I prefer for them to follow the GT4CS example and NOT do CLs. They are a PITA for those that do their own changes and don't have a support crew to do it for them.

Sure I reckon nearly everyone prefers non-CL but my point was they would probably not convert a mule from one to the other they'd be separate cars.

Yup. Now the question is how many GT4RS mules are there? With how many different configs? 5-lugs, CLs, louvres, fenders, etc.?

All I know is that Porsche is being super slow about releasing 718's.

The new GT3 is out, BMW already has the M3/M4 out.

Porsche is lagging with the 2022 GT4 and GT4 RS

The only way that this car will be hard to get is if it is a numbered car which it won't be. They'll probably as hard to get as an GT3RS allocation at MSRP because they'll probably produce about as many.

When I was talking with my SA on my 2022 GT4 allocation, I asked about the GT4 RS. I figured they would have a long list to get one, but it was the opposite. He said he only had a few people on a list for one and this is coming from a high volume dealer in California.

The hot ticket item right now is the 992 GT3, now that car he said is touch to get and has long wait lists.

Based on photos and different plate numbers, I have counted 8 different mules. The most recent photo (with the missing wing endplate) was the highest plate number, and was CL

I suspect a lot of those with long term deposits in place may well pass, if key improvements haven't been made. This in turn will open up windows for others.

The GT4 RS isn't a slam dunk - giving the car more HP and torque isn't the answer in isolation.
Interesting take.

I put my first deposit on this car back in late 2015 and another around 2016 or '17 and I will be very surprised if these deposits buy me anything. Despite these long-held deposits, I suspect the dealers will give these cars to their top customers, regardless of any deposits. This is too bad but I suspect reality.

I did similar. When I got my 1st GT4, 981, I told them if they ever did a RS I want to start the list. They accepted with $0 deposit. I'm still #1 with them. They got more requests/deposits since then.

No clue, but Porsche has been VERY quiet on the entire 718 front for the last 4-5 mths now.

They had the 992 GT3 reveal, but it's been nothing but crickets thus far on the 718's.

Hopefully that will change soon.
