Woot, congrats!
Quick question: were you provided a vessel name through TYD, or did you call your SA for updates? My TYD is all over the place, and seems to be at least 1-2 weeks delayed when updating- heck my current “phase” still shows 1 out of 4, and TYD says Im pretty much at Emden Lol.
when it leaves port TYD will show the ship name, in the map if using a computer or on a phone tap on “show details”. Timing on TYD is way off. It left port several days before it was shown on TYD, and it will arrive at the destination port a week before TYD says and will be at my dealer a week before. TYD is a fun customer toy, but it’s not accurate.
my TYD was way off, showing the wrong phase. I called Porsche and they did something and it was fixed to being at least close to correct.
Glad to hear you snagged up a GT4 allocation, even though it wasn’t your preferred build. Hopefully you can make the changes down the road that make the car more suitable to your needs/liking. Make sure you have a commission # and V200 Status when you put down your deposit. .
Delivery wise… don’t go stringing up your current shoes on your towns electrical wires “too soon” bc taking delivery in March with an order that hasn’t even hit its freeze point yet would be another Christmas miracle. I’d say the realistic timeline would be 12-16 weeks from your freeze date. This seems to be the going trend from those with build dates beginning from late Nov. through Dec. production timelines. My freeze was 11/28, ETA 2/10 via TYD, but I still haven’t been assigned a vessel through TYD (current status “in transit to port of Emden”)… Im assuming my car will be at the dealer at best late February early March, and that’s if everything goes smoothly.
Freeze date is February 1 and is set to arrive at the dealer end of March
Agreed, I'll personally believe production is over when I get my deposit refunded, but the secondhand evidence does seem to be piling up this time.
Well there's been plenty of reports of deposits being refunded worldwide, my dealership did so back in November when they received their final GT4 and Spyder allocations... but believe what you will. Sounds like a lot of dealerships are enjoying the interest they're making on their customers deposits.

I remember my time tracking the Siem Cicero across the ocean.
I am sure dealers have all the allocations for spyders/GT4 for 2023... With that said, they will probably hold back a little on distributing all of them, as sometimes they would like to keep them to trade for other allocations.
My SA indicated that, even when the regular flow of allocations has ceased, a few still leak out for a while. It is totally unpredictable, however.
Makes sense. I am sure Porsche doesn’t let any opportunities to build and sell a car get away, as production slots and parts availability ebbs and flows.

This seems accurate, there's a couple ive seen here and there that my local dealers config'd. But anybody waiting (raises hand) nothing.
That’s where I got my car, too. Also 0 ADM (though mine is only a BGTS). Nice experience, good communication, no surprises. The facility is pretty cool, too, since it’s a relatively new (and fairly big) store.
Just got the call there is an OPENGT4, locks in about a month, available. Dealer did some things for PCNA and was gifted a GT4 allocation.
You need to be in the Chicagoland area. PM me and I'll get you the sales contact. But please, only Chicagoland area. Yes there is an asking ADM, which you will need to iron out with them.
Please only inquire if serious about getting the allocation. I get nothing other than some additional Good-Will with my brand/sales contact.
I also have a line on a GT4 allocation, northeast store. They are asking an ADM, but I can get them to come down a bit since PCCB and other options are a no-go.

Following an argument I had with several members a few days ago, this is what I was talking about - the damnd is obviously there, but it was artificially increased out of proportion:
One of the CA dealers I was in conversation with a few months ago when I had just started this journey reached out; Apparently, they have been sitting on no less than 4 GT4 allocations (one of the biggest dealers in the entire country), originally looking to get 25k adm. It seems like they are starting to realize they won't be able to sell any of those allocations for this price and finally starting to call back customers to "restart the negotiation". Good luck with that.

Please list the dealership and help out your fellow RL’rs still looking for an allocation.
Otherwise there is an ADM dedicated thread to discuss dealer charges.

Curious if the people passing are doing so more due to many of the options no longer being available (LWBS, PCCB, PDLS+) rather than the 25k ADM. Granted that's 5k more than ive seen on average but I also can't imagine 5k really being a deterrent for someone who REALLY wants a GT4.
I think what the dealerships are running into, is that currently even with the slightly inflated used market. You can actually get a car closer to the spec you want and with some of the stop items for roughly 10-15k over MSRP
