I'm relieved to say that after about a year and a half long wait, I have managed to find my GT4 allocation out of state at $10k ADM, April build. The dealer added a one year pre-paid maintenance on top for $1,295, which I'm totally fine with to finalize the deal. This will be my first Porsche ever!
I was on multiple local waitlists in the Chicagoland area at MSRP, until I was notified about two weeks ago that Porsche sent out an email to dealers stating all GT4 allocations have been released, so my waitlist deposits have been refunded back to me. This forced me to call just about every dealer across the country. I also contacted Ben, the broker here on Rennlist. He is an AWESOME guy. So if you are still looking, definitely reach out. Luckily, I was able to hunt this one down on my own.
The allocations are out there, but there are not many left. They range mostly from $20k-$40k ADM. The dealer I found was asking $25k ADM. I got them down to $15k after a few days, then $10k a few days after that. It takes work, but if you really want this car, I highly recommend going out there and doing everything you can to secure one before they're all gone.
Quick note - I wanted PTS (Brewster Green) and bucket seats, but both are on stop sale at the moment. Ceramic brakes are as well. Most dealers I spoke with told me it is possible they come back in March, but not guaranteed. So I'm glad I have an April build, but not getting my hopes up. Worst case scenario, I get the 2-way seats then purchase the carbon bucket seats to swap them out. I know it will cost more, but I would love to have them.
The questions I have for you guys is - Since I am dealing with an out of state dealer, what do I need to make sure to do to make sure this is my car? I'm hoping nothing goes wrong and they sell it behind my back. They already emailed me the commission number with my name on the document and V200 status. I also signed a purchase agreement, but they have not sent it back to me with their signature on it.
One more thing to add, I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the info that was provided. Without Rennlist, I probably would not be able to lock down this amazing car. Thank you guys!!
Congrats! I’m in the Chicagoland area too. I was able to work with Ben to secure mine last Nov. Porsche Exchange told me the same story in two weeks ago. My build is in April and bucket/PCCB wasn’t kicked back and my order went in before the stop sales situation.
To your questions, you should be fine as long as you have the name on the sheet with V200 status. You always can call PCNA to verify your order because it’s the best place to confirm your order.
Also, ask your TYD as well. It should ensure you have the car coming in in the system too. I think you should be fine and stay in touch with your SA
We should get together in this summer. I have planned to pick up in PECATL, you may want to consider it.

Good luck!
Thank you! Would love to get together in the summer. That's awesome you were able to lock the bucket seats! Hopefully they come back for me.

Congrats BillBoss! So glad you were able to find one! Great work on the ADM negotiations!
Has no one else heard this? My dealer (GSM) told me Monday, that Porsche has given notice to all dealers there will be no more allocations for 2023 718 Spyders or GT4's! He said they received an email from PCNA regarding this update. No word on whether production will resume for 2024 models. He told me I was given their very last allocation for a 2023 Spyder, and my order went active Monday V 200. I have the order confirmation from Porsche. Projected delivery date of 5-19-2023. I've been watching the last few days to see if anyone else heard this? This is from one of the top Porsche dealers in the USA. Can anyone else verify this?
I heard 2023 is the final model year for Spyder/GT4 as well. I believe it will be 2 years of Spyder RS / GT4RS. Non GT 718's to continue to 2025 as well. There is a possibility that it may be sold alongside the electric version, but only if there is demand. Although in 2 years time, I am thinking that will not be the case. The 718 ICE days are numbered.
I had not been on this allocation thread, so was unaware of some of the other posts regarding this topic. So it is clearly true. No more 2023 Spyder or GT4 allocations a dealer doesn't already have...

I think it is either on this thread or one of the GT3 allocation threads, where some folks mentioned that the dealer principals had meetings with their PCNA reps back in November, and they each received news about how many GT cars they will get for the remainder of MY23. The allocations might not show up in the system immediately, but they should know how many cars they will receive now.
“The models with the highest demand again in 2022 were the brand’s SUVs: the Porsche Cayenne was delivered a total of 95,604 times. The Macan followed in second place with 86,724 units delivered. With 40,410 deliveries (+5 per cent) the Porsche 911 remains very popular as well. The sports saloon Panamera was delivered to 34,142 customers (+13 per cent).
The Taycan remains at a high level of orders. In 2022, Porsche delivered 34,801 cars from the model line worldwide (-16 percent). The decline was due to supply chain bottlenecks and limited component availability. Both issues affected the electric sports car in particular. Customers took delivery of 18,203 units of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman models.”
Over 2:1 911 to 718 last year, globally. In 2021 they delivered 20,502 718s globally.
Here are the US delivery numbers. 718 is such a small part of PCNAs overall sales mix.
PCNA NUMBERS
“Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) today announced that 2022 retail deliveries in the United States totaled 70,065 cars – PCNA’s best year ever, surpassing the previous record set in 2021. Fourth quarter deliveries also set a new high for the period at 20,955, or 14 percent above the same quarter a year earlier.”
