I thought I read somewhere that were no more Spyder allocations...

Yeah - these were dealerships stating they were not getting any more allocations... there may still be some that trickle in or pop up. 25k ADM is getting up there though!

What Porsche has said via news release is that they are increasing 718 capacity on the Osnabrucke VW line starting summer 2023. They’ve been producing 718 Caymans, including GT4s, there for years. If you have a K VIN Cayman it was produced there.

This has more to do with reducing 718 capacity at Zuff for all the special 992s than meeting 718 “demand”…

Asked another dealer about it, one of the biggest dealers in the entire country. This one is from my SA which has been at this dealership for over 14 years:

"It is unlikely that MY2023 will be the last year of the ICE Boxster as the EV version won't be available until 2024+ and Porsche plans to offer the two concurrently for a short period of time."

Yes, of course MY23 has never been discussed as the final year.

The follow-on EV is a MY25, so assumed that’s the break point…PAG CEO words

Just got off the phone with my SA. I paraphrase:

"Porsche said that they are done giving out allocations for GT3, GT4, and Spyder, to dealerships, for remainder of MY2023 run."

* I ask "What about the RS models (GT3RS, GT4RS)? What about 718 4.0 (GTS)?"

"They didn't mention anything about the RS or 4-liter models; they were not on the list from Porsche."

So, what do we think this means?
* Clear that no more allocations for GT3/GT4/Spyder for MY2023 will be given out/sold (besides the existing allocations that dealerships have at this moment)
* If we read between the lines, we are led to believe that Porsche will continue to produce and give out allocations for GT3RS/GT4RS/718GTS4.0

Isn’t the model 23 to 24 rollover around May/June (end of Q2), so it conceivable that model year 23 is done and future allocations will be for ‘24 models? That’s not exactly the same as no more allocations.

Not sure when the rollover is, but I do think there'll be allocations for MY2024... just not sure when those would start though.

Rumor is no MY24 for Spyder/GT4 but the 4RS will be made for MY24 and use up those production slots.

Well placed source recently stated on one of these threads that MY24 will be RSs and T4s only for 718 models

Managed to get an actual allocation (not queue\list\etc.) from a local dealer with ED for $5k ADM.
With all the recent rumors - I think I will take that and run.

This almost fell off too, took me two weeks to convince the GM to allow me to do ED.
