Dealer Allocation Tracker

According to my sales rep, MY23 is it for the Spyder/GT4, and possibly the GTS?
I was on a wait list for a BGTS for awhile. After the November meeting, they apparently refunded people on GT4/Spyder waitlists who had deposits but would not see allocations. I so happened to call like an hour after someone backed out of a Spyder allocation, and they offered it to me (I took it).
Not sure how true it is, but it's what I was told.

I appreciate it, I'm so excited I've had trouble sleeping the past few nights hahahaha. Just to be clear, I was on a wait list with a deposit down for a BGTS for a long time. I was calling to check on the status of it after that November meeting, and that's when they offered the Spyder instead.

Yeah, I'm kinda shocked to be honest lol. I didn't even consider the Spyder because I figured there was no shot I'd get an allocation, I really mulled it over the weekend but I'm very happy with my decision! I really thought about not taking it for practicality reasons since I'm gonna drive it fairly often (biggest issues being roof and ground clearance), but I think I was just being a *****
Unless you just LOVE those spyder humps, and the idea of a bona-fide GT boxster, the GTS isn't a bad way to go, TBH. I LOVE my spyder, love love love it, but I would also say it is best as a "special use" vehicle. Unless you just GOTTA have the spyder, the gts provides some features which would make regular use better, IMO. A more compliant ride and a power top would prove very useful for a daily. Just sayin.
I personally think the spyder is one of the best dayum looking cars on the planet, so if you think that way, too, then go spyder.
(Post edit: Part of that impression is undoubtedly due to the fact I have LWBS. They look the bomb, and they connect you to the car and the road so very well, but they are a bit of a pain to climb into/out of. If maximum ***-road connection isn't your goal, going with the sofas would make the spyder a lot more livable, IMO. For my "focused driving" use and the odd track day, I definitely like my LWBS.)

I think once it goes into production it will hit home...

I still feel that elation, every time I drive it, or hell even just go through the garage...like it's too good to be true. It's a special special car, IMO.

It was initially a 992 GT3 deposit in February of 2021 and I was like fifth on my saleswoman's list. Then when the spyshots for the GT4 RS came out I just transferred it there. Never asked about my spot in line. Unfortunately when I had a build code she told me the dealership just going to take the initial offerings and then just let the bidding wars go. Like many other SoCal dealerships i think they got flooded with way too many requests. Regardless I knew it was a long shot. Just wish they attached a letter or something formal rather than just the check

My dealer says there will be no more allocations for Spyders - anyone else hear this?

Someone posted no more spyders/gt4s AFTER MY 2023; this is the first I am hearing they are done NOW.

I wouldn't be surprised. Porsche seems to be handing out allocations with build dates several months out. I know someone who got a GT3RS allocation for an October 2023 build, which has to be a MY24 car. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities that all MY23 Spyder/GT4 allocations have been handed out.

This is regarding the Boxster GTS, I quote (and this is from a dealer that doesn't even want to sell to me cause I'm out of state for him):
"The good news is that Porsche is spooling up 718 production in the next few months to keep up with high demand"

Two TX resident spyder allocations available at $25k adm. PM me for details.
(I get nada except a referral out of it, worth $0.00001 towards an SRS allocation - lol)
