Early builds were in port in late Sept.

Same for 992s; which were in port in July I believe.

Porsche has a MY release date and they attempt to get the EPA/CARB done in parallel.
Interesting stuff, how they build cars and ship them in anticipation of getting CARB certified. What happens if the EPA wants the cars modified? oh well.

One thing to note about this is that Porsche routinely stockpiles cars at the ports I guess. So having the Stop-Sale cars there for a few months is actually not that atypical.

Well... I went and asked since my timing was about the same as those of you above. I was also expecting a 9/10 estimated delivery after entering the body shop last Wednesday 7/23.
But something is going on for more than one of us it seems. Vehicle completion now jumped from 7/30 to 9/10 with arrival here now estimated at 10/29. Maybe Boxtop and I are looking at the same ship.

Darn. I guess I need to update my signature line now.

My SA says he wouldn't be surprised to see it move back to something sooner though.

Seems like almost everyone is looking at 10/29 now. I've been V200 since early may and my V900 date has always been 10/29 and I was a little jealous based on the posts I'd been seeing, but now I don't feel so bad.

What day does the shut-down start?

V900 on Feb 2, 2022, so 10/29 sounds great! lol

It's all relative.

I went V260 on 7/16. It sounds like your production is straddling the shutdown/break. Maybe they are erring on the conservative side and maybe it will make it out of there before the shutdown. I guess I will ping my SA and see what he is showing.

One year without a 2 door Porsche can be challenging. Yes, definitely FWP. Will almost be two years for me, if it works out according to current plan.

I started seriously looking for Spyder allocation March 2020 when COVID hit.

Traded in 991 July 2020 to secure allocation for expected April 2021 delivery.

Then conrod hit.

My March 2021 request for new allocation was basically stone walled. If you don’t like the engine replacement option? Too bad. Get in line while we deal with others first.

Now possibly spring 2022 delivery.

I guess it could be worse, some people never get the car….if I didn’t pre-trade, I probably won’t even get a car.

So you have confirmed allocation with commission number already?

You are already V200 for December build?

Thanks for checking StormRune, I was wondering if it was just me or not. My SA is pretty casual about all the date changes telling me not to get too anxious about them because they move around a lot. Seems to me he tends to assume it will eventually come in ahead of schedule but I just don’t see that happening. I guess I just need to eliminate all expectations and just “enjoy” the ride.

Does anyone know a dealer who has, or will soon have a GT4 allocation?

So if you place an order demand with a dealer, where do you get the Vxxx updates? Looks like I'm at v070? When I put my deposit down I didn't get papers like shown above, only a printout of my build and a sheet with the car and pricing... The way these things are handled leaves a lot to be desired.
