I only got my commission number at V200 when the actual allocation came through. V070 Nov 2020. V200 March 1,2021. V300 June 25. My car now actually on ship from Emden to North America. Left port yesterday July 9.

There was a guy on here in winter/spring that was approaching or broke 2 years from v70 without an allocation and still wasn't next in line (I think he was in Oregon). Now that seems crazy as there are literally people that went on the list, got a spot, got a manual, drove it, sold it, went on the list again, got a pdk, and have been driving it for a long time now in that timeline.

You are right, more allocations should come out soon.
PCNA are behind handling out allocations for theses 718 models, so far only up to September build allocations from what I’ve seen. Over there at GT3 section, people are getting allocations from September through January builds already. Since these cars are built in the same factory (especially the Spyder and Boxster, only build at Stuttgart) and should share the same production planning, they can’t only planning the 992 production without these 718s in the mix. We should see more allocations for September build and beyond soon.

Ya, after 6 months he should have had an idea if they were ever going to get him an allocation or not and moved on if he wasn't moving up the list at a decent pace. I know I spent/wasted months talking to other dealers before I contacted the one who actually got an allocation for me. Canada has some absolutely tiny Porsche dealerships (like Porsche Kelowna or Porsche Victoria) and I bet even there people aren't waiting 2 years. Perhaps he likes the 'idea' that he's getting a GT4 more than actually getting a GT4 and having to buy it. Some people just like talking pieces and don't care about the car.

Track Day
Was told today by my SA that Canada received 0 718 allocations in this second half. I'm waiting on a Spyder.
That blows my mind that our entire country didn't get any 718s!

My dealer got their July allocations Friday. Unfortunately, no GT4 (or Spyder). Interestingly, they DID get a few sports car allocations after seeing nothing but SUVs for awhile: a Turbo S that apparently a guy has been waiting for since 2020, and a few base Cayman and Boxsters. But no GTS/GT4 cars at all.

Although when I got my allocation in may my SA said they were done for allocations for the rest of the year (I assumed he meant with delivery dates before jan 1). He also knew they had an allocation coming a couple months before they got it officially. It sounds like they might get pretty decent information from Porsche about the future and what's going on in the country as a whole for allocations.

My hopes for a birthday month (July) allocation are sinking. :-/ I was banking on the popular wisdom (on here) that they show up the last week of the month.
I just need to stay off here and YouTube and find something else over which to obsess. Maybe knitting... I guess there are always video games; virtual for the (partial) win!

Just beware, my wife recently took up crochet as a new hobby, and when I called it "knitting" it was received as an offensive remark. Just be sure you know what you're getting into, as the rivalry between the two is apparently sharper than Porsche v. BMW. ;-)
