This is the first time I'm following a ship so my experience isn't enough to go by. My car has been in port for around 4-5 days waiting for inspection and a truck.

Can you post your ship number? Is it possible you are getting delayed or bad information.

Siam Confucius is the ship. And it’s updated every few minutes or so I think.

I would not read too much in to it. Could be waiting for an open slip.

What I'm looking forward to most (or almost most) in my Boxster are the highly engineered/fabulous cup holders. Engineering art at its best.

That's a joke, right? Those cup holders are crap. And even worse for the driver's one, it's right on top of electronics, so anything spilled could cause damage. After being how unstable my water bottle was (and just a regular one, since no way it'd hold my larger one), I never used it. I'm hoping a guy selling some that attach to the bottom (right side) of the center console panel (resting on the floor) resumes production soon. Need to look for the link.

Congratulations!
When did you get your allocation (i.e. V200)? And are you in the USA, Europe,..?

Great! Love the spec and the leather steering column! One of my favorite options! I had to get the leather steering column with the deviated stitching to show the red thread I wanted.

Very nice! Late spring seems a bit aways. How long did they tell you it would be in months?

USA

It's an Order Demand (V070) with a requested April allocation. Once allocations are released (February) for that time-frame, the order demand will be converted into a build and go to V200.

On the Porsche app under "discover steps"
- your purchase order has been confirmed Jul 31, 2024
- You have reached the Change Freeze Point Sept 24, 2024
- The manufacturing process of your Porsche is starting soon Oct 9, 2024
- The manufacturing process of your Porsche has now started Oct 21, 2024
- The manufacturing process is complete Nov 12, 2024
- Your Porsche is on its way to the German port Nov 12, 2024 - Dec 8, 2024
- Your Porsche has arrived at the German port Nov 13, 2024 - Dec 8, 2024
- Your vehicle left the German port Nov 13, 2024 - Dec 24, 2024
- Your Porsche is at the local entry port being readied for it final journey Dec 2, 2024 - Jan 20, 2025
- Your Porsche is en route to your Porsche Center Dec 2, 2024 - Feb 27, 2025
- There's final preparation being made for pickup at your Porsche Center Dec 2, 2024 - Mar 2, 2025

Pretty broad dates following completion of production which I know those dates can change as well. In my mind I'm speculating that my BGTS won't be ready for me to pick up until March sometime. I put a down payment on the car back in February and just got an allocation in July. The wait for the allocation was tough, waiting for the actual car is excruciating.

Good deal, I'm in the same boat then. Middle to late first quarter before I know I have an allocation.

I liked them in my 981 Boxster... Better than what's in the 992 I thought. But yeah you're right... you need to be careful about liquid spilling on the center console electronics, which of course it did.
