Finally journalists are wising up to the facts (or just reading this thread)!

Review of 50th in what car, published earlier this week.
http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/pors...review/1307372

"With Porsche only making 1963 examples of the '50 Years Edition', it’s no surprise that UK cars have all sold already. You can, however, find some for sale nearly-new ....... Even though these used '50 Years Edition' cars are all still commanding more than list price, it’s easy to see why you would pay it. After all, to many Porsche aficionados, the wide-bodied 911s are considered the best-looking, and as a collector's item this anniversary edition also likely to hold its value better than a standard car."

I got mine off the lot for a bit over 5% off list. This was in June.

You did mention that and at the time I did say that you got yourself a good deal which was against the general trend.

Great review and these cars do feel special. Added bonus if depreciation is low...

Default I wish they had driven the X51

I would have really enjoyed the review if they had driven the X51
version. Imagine what the review would have been like in that situation!

London911 knows just how special as he has a very rare car here in UK, X51 & manual with some trick interior too. I would be very surprised if there was another one in that combo even though stats suggest that there could be 2 more as I have 31 cars tagged (approx 1/3 of all UK cars). I only know of another X51 which comes in black & PDK currently for sale in OPC Glasgow.

Just loving mine... The rush to the redline is exhilarating and addictive (and the leather and contrast stitching on air vents & dash beautiful) - I find myself walking back to the car after paying for petrol slower and slower now to enjoy the view. Beautiful cars inside & out the 50ths

I was just reading your thread over on the 964 forum, seems like we have more than one car in common! Anyone fancy a 50th meet in SE England?

Sounds great to me!!

(...and I've got the subtly improved '90 964 which Tech9 are doing a stunning job on, a completely 100% standard, original, un-restored original paint '88 3.2 Carrera and a '77 3.0 930 Turbo which is again 100% original and is half way through a Tech9 'OCD level' nut & bolt restoration and ready January / February 2015. Lucky lucky lucky...)
