Thanks for posting. Now I know for sure I don't want guards red. I wish there were better color options for the new spyder. I understand it's going to be a two year run. Do you think there will be other options in year two? Not that I care, but DCT will probably be in year two right?

PDK would likely be the 981.2 Spyder. I would assume the same for the GT4.

Can't see any 981.2 Spyder running the classic 3.8L flat6

You really think the change over to a turbo 4 is going to come that quickly? If I had to guess I would say the base boxster and boxster s would change over and they would keep they would finish out the spyder as is with a pdk and perhaps a new color or two; unless, the turbo 4's horsepower makes the current spyder redundant.

I'm interested in the idea and dynamics of a high compression high hp light weight turbo four in a boxster? Progress?

Note that these are smaller snow wheels and tires and not the Spyder 20" wheels.

Is it just me or do the humps/top design make the back end of the Spyder appear disproportionately long?

I think it's the angle of the shot. It not a straight side shot... A tad bit forward making the rear appear longer.

Perhaps - I'll have to see the car in the flesh to be sure. Regardless, if they'd just kept the standard Boxster top (the Boxster being one of the best proportioned convertibles extant), I might have been tempted to switch my GT4 order over.

Looks awesome!!! Getting excited now. I saw white at the auto show but a car roped off on a turntable is one thing and on the road is something else! Is that the basic Black? Or is that the metallic?

That is one hot car! Those don't look like the Spyder wheels though, what are they?
