@kurquhart Envious that your car landed and you received a formal notification - congrats!!

For all the other Neptune Barcelona / Benicia folks, I hope you get the chip replaced and get delivery expeditiously as well. Keep us updated on how things progress.

I noticed Benicia was removed from the Glovis Cosmos schedule in this latest update. In the previous version, it showed 03/04 for a Benicia stopover but it's entirely gone now. To make things worse: the next possible Benicia delivery on April 7 (via Glovis Companion) still shows the blue "subject to volume situation" disclaimer. How can VW / Audi / Porsche not have enough cars to deliver to NorCal / PNW for a three months gap between mid-Feb and, possibly, May? Sooooo frustrating.

Interesting - is it unheard of for customers in the PNW to get their cars off ship in San Diego? Benecia is obviously the more ideal location for those deliveries proximity wise but San Diego doesn't seem that far off.

Don’t forget Taycan, Cayenne, and 911 can’t be sold due to a chip issue until April. I highly doubt Porsche is able to fill a ship with just 718s and old Macans.

When I first recognized last month (Jan) there would be no ships delivering in March, I searched RL and found at least one posting where apparently, Porsche dropped off the cars in Houston and then trucked the cars to the west coast. You can see in that poster's TYD map, a route going across inland from Houston to the west coast. If this is actually true (and crazy), I guess it's definitely feasible they can drop them off in San Diego and truck them up the coast. I'm not holding my breath though.

Good point. However, shouldn't there also be VWs and Audis to ship as well out of Emden? One would hope between VWs, Audis and a trickle of Porsches, there should be enough vehicles to fill at least one RoRo for the west coast during Mar - Apr timeframe. Again, it's my wishful thinking.

( While researching, I found this article from April 2023. The photo of the VW Group parking lot is amazing )

I'm in PDX and I've gotten PECLA cars delivered through Houston (which makes no sense to me, but that's how they do it), but I've never gotten a Porsche delivered through anywhere but Benecia.

I did get the “Its at the local port” email, but I’m waiting for a 718 (4RS).
