Delivery delays

Just an update, for what it is worth: heard from my SA/SM and they admit not having delivered any Taycans “for some time now due to the delays.” Went on to say that they have “no communication from Porsche only that it is the 12v battery” and that he “truly believe they (Porsche) do not know timing on their end as well.”
TYD currently shows me shipping 11/11 and dealer arrival 12/02 on vehicle that completed production on 8/21, but that’s been pushed back three times already.
Let me know if any of you start shipping, taking delivery, or have an update from your SAs. Thanks.

This is anecdotal at best, but from being on these boards and talking of the car dealers I use (not Porsche) I know that at least one new Taycan GTS STs has been delivered into Charlotte in the last 2 months or so. MY GTS build was completed 7/4 and is now showing a ship date of 11/11 with arrival into RI 11/25 and at dealer 12/02, but this has been pushed back several times. When my ship date gets within 20 days or so, it generally gets pushed back.

Well at least yours is still showing up on TYD. My CT was completed on 7/11, original delivery was beginning of Sept, then pushed multiple times. Last time it was on TYD it was showing a 12/2 delivery to dealer. A few weeks ago it completely disappeared from TYD. Dealer said it is still showing a 12/2 on their end. Who knows.

OP update 18 Oct 2022
Sales guy emailed me last Thu, said he had spoken with his regional rep (NorCal). Rep said Porsche had not even released the major firmware upgrade yet! Might explain why there are Taycans piling up at the factory, Emden, destination ports like Benicia CA (mine). They “hope” to have the car released to the dealer ”by the end of the month”. TYD had said by Fri 10/14 but now has no date attached. Unfortunately, hope is not a plan. So who knows?
Oh well, 1st world problems.

Cars are typically held at factory/Emden for battery and those already at port destination are help for firmware or other stop sale items until resolution.

Fully agree and after your post I checked my TYD and see the same update. Nov 18 on vessel date and dealer arrival is Dec 09, a delay of a week. The current PWL shipping schedule does not show anything leaving on that date; last currently scheduled is 14th.

I finally ripped the bandaid off and contacted my dealer to cancel my order. I found a Taycan GTS and had Porsche do a CPO on it. I have lost faith in what TYD is "estimating" after 4 months of being pushed back again and again.

I also found out that they bumped my car out another week, so frustrating.

I did the same. My order was one year estimated. So I’ll get a 2023 in 2024. No thanks. 2025 might be a five year cycle facelift. The EV landscape (including technology) 2025 will be different. It might be all flattened, thanks to our “lil rocket man” and the “falling out of windows” country

The dealer is pushing back on me some saying they "ordered a Gentian Blue car specifically for me" and they need to escalate the issue. I expect that they will eventually give me my deposit back, but nothing is ever easy. Given they are 6 months beyond the original estimate, I hope they do the right thing quickly.
