With just two days to go before being loaded on a vessel in Emden, where our Taycan GTS has been undergoing the tire flat-spotting-while-sitting-in-cold-weather process since arriving there on 12/30, the loading date was pushed out two weeks from 1/20 to 2/3. (BTW, until my Porsche dealer told me, I was not aware that the TYD dates are all Fridays - at least as far as I can tell.) Estimated arrival at the LA PEC is now pushed to March 17 (a Friday) after arrival at Benicia on 3/3 - yup, it’s a Friday.
I’m hoping that things might move faster as I am really excited to drive the car. I drove a Taycan Turbo S at a dealer in 2020 and autocrossed a Turbo at a Porsche Drive Experience in 2021. The car is amazing, and here in SoCal where I see multiple Teslas at every stoplight, Taycans really pop out.
I usually log onto My Porsche from the website. But yesterday, I downloaded the My Porsche app for my iPad, I noticed that the rating is 1.8/5.0. Yesterday, TYD disappeared from the website version of My Porsche home page and I had to reload it using an old email from Porsche. How does this happen? And the iPhone/iPad app doesn’t show future dates but the website version does. What gives?
