If you want the cream cocoa car Only1buck I am sure they would dealer trade for your spec since Champion would rather have a lower price car in stock. I would just call your dealer to arrange it through Mike at Champion if you are interested.
Champion Motors is doing ok since they sold off the Audi franchise

Delivery tomorrow. Saw her tonight, and she looks great! Roof fix apparently was pretty easy to do.

I'd guess the Spyder is the only current day Porsche that could become "collectable".

It's true what they say...the suspension on this car is fantastic. Almost supple, with almost completely flat cornering. Almost too supple.
If you are not ordering PDK, the short-shifter is well worth it. Far less notchy and stiff than I was expecting.
I'm obeying the suggested break-in limit of 4200rpm, but torque is good up to that point. I think it sounds fine without the sport exhaust; it has a nice growl without drawing attention to itself. Much smoother than that of the 2005 997 I had prevoiusly.
Glad I got the Alcantara door armrests (like the GT3RS), even if it doesn't have Alcantara on the door panels as shown on the Porsche configurator. The stereo is better than I expected (but I didn't expect much). Regarding the sport buckets, I've said it before...you really have to spend some time in them to know if you fit comfortably...I'm average height and build, and I had better stay that way.
The only thing I was let down a bit on is the steering. It has an unnaturally heavy feel, and is less communicative than that of my 2005 997. Perhaps due to the lower tire pressures the Spyder runs, or maybe changes made to the 2nd generation platform (there have been criticisms of the 997.2 steering compared to the 997.1). Interestingly, the Spyder came with Goodyear F1 tires...I haven't seen a Porsche come from the factory with Goodyears in years.
And then there is the top. This will keep most people from buying a Spyder. It is a hassle to erect, and noisy in either configuration. Without it, cruising at 80+ mph is comfortable and relatively draft-free. However, under 50mph is fine with the top on.
Overall, very happy with the Spyder. A better car than that 2005 997, and $15k less expensive...6 years later. That's progress...
