you can drag yourself across or lift in lift out ... I do the lift in lift out...place right leg in first then with left hand on the seat edge support your body and then put your butt in the seat...once in the seat...the fit is spectacular...I am 5'10" 215...If it were a daily driver and you were in and out a bit I think it would be a pain...overall I like the seats

My opinion on the spyder:
Pretty fast although i haven't really step on it hard until after the first 2000miles. I cannot compare the speed to other cars since i haven't drove any fast cars besides the spyder. Handling is like what everyone said on the forum. The interior feels like good to excellent quality. So far i have no compaint or anything i don't like about the spyder except when i pull in and out of my driveway it scraped the front but when i go in backwards that solve the problem. This car gets a lot of attention with top up and it gets even more much more attention with top down. First time a 10 yr old kid scream out of the SUV and yelled "nice car!"
About the roof top...It is more than good enough to keep you dry in the car. Wind noise is not bad at all. you can carry a conversation or listen to your radio with no problem. One thing i'm worrying is when the snow hits i'm worrying if the roof can support the snow build up on the roof since i parked in the driveway, not in a garage. I guess i have to push the snow off the roof when winter comes. Overall the spyder can be a daily driver's car. The ride is not too harsh it was actually much better than what i expected for a sports car. Again, this car gets lots of attention and compliments.
A question for you guys...which of these two cars you think gets more compliments between the Spyder and Mercedes SL500? Note...assuming those that had never seen a Mercedes SL500 before.

Thanks for cheering me up. I called Porsche and they said that they would look into it, whatever that means...

Just drove my White/Red home. A bit colored in my opinion (tracking a new RS as well) but the Spyder feels plush. The suspension is taut but very comfy. A bit more body roll and much less pointy than my RS. Sound from PSE combined with PDK is awesome! With roof off at 55 mph easy to hold conversation. In person the detail work is incredible, it is put together like a fine Swiss watch. Every fitting looks like a million bucks. Superb build quality.
Just beautiful to look at in person.
