Just a guess that it should go on this weeks ship, possibly
tomorrow since it appears they are trying to crank out the delayed cars to catch up. Mine was only 1 week from checkpoint 8 till loading (normally3 weeks). Yours should either be loaded tomorrow or on the 21st, if indeed they ship weekly.
Let me know!

"I am told it is sitting there with the rest of the Boxster Spyder’s awaiting this fix for the top latch. It is at the “arrive PDI” stage. Have to wait until it says PDIFIN."

Mine arrive at the port already on Apr 12th and are currently delayed like the other spyders awaiting for the latch fix. The above is update word from my dealer for your reference.

It will be very interesting to see if the production delayed cars have any port delay or whether the fix was done at the factory before shipping.

Yup... You were right... Loaded the 14th.
Does it depart from Bremerhaven? If so I wonder if it's on the Faust?
It arrived on the 13th and headed Stateside. I check the itinerary and it's going through the Panama... so it's a good indication that it's headed to San Diego (the itinerary doesn't go that far out calendar wise). Dealer said they won't know the actual Vessel name for 5-6 days.

BTW... Looks like production has switched to solid black steering wheels now:

Rob,
Where was your Spyder loaded? Bremerhaven or Edmen? I'm still trying to figure out what ship mine is on. All I know is that it was loaded the 14th and that I need to make the journey through the Panama Canal. Other than that I'm in the dark. I'm not sure which Port they use in Southern California for the West Coast. I found the Faust that was at Bremerhaven during my load and it's headed for the Panama, but its not shceduled to hit the Pacific. I guess I'll have to wait for the name from my dealer. From my research it sounds like its approximately a 21 day cruise on the vessel.

My vehicle was loaded in Bremerhaven on the 7th. Your dealer should have the ship info info soon.

Porsches are loaded in Bremerhaven, and unloaded in San Diego for the west coast.

That sucks!
Sorry to hear that. I'm still trying to figure out which ship I'm on. I found the port schedule for San Diego (http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/) and discovered that W&W doesn't operate out of San Diego (Originally thought I was on the Faust). So I'm still clueless where my car is. The Dorado Leader was a possible candidate, but it arrived into Bremerhaven on the 17th and my car was loaded the 14th, so that's not it. I'll just have to be patient and wait for my dealer to get confirmation on the vessel name when it's updated in the Porsche Ordering System.

It seems like the ships arrive and leave the same day or next day at the latest. I found the detailed schedule for my ship It was scheduled to be in Brunswick tomorrow and up to Baltimore after unloading the SE US cars. I know there are BMW's on the ship as well.
I"ll just have to wait until tomorrow when either my car will be in port here or confirmation that the ship has returned to europe due to what would most likely be a mechanical problem.
