This one was RNM today at $50K. Lots of comments that the price was too low, but considering the cosmetics (front bumper smile and non-original side stripe), semi custom exhaust, PDK, and no a/c, I think the price was about right.

Yes, I agree. It BID to $50,000 but no apparent sale. MT add $10K, LWBS add ??

The mustache was the killer - who thought that was a good idea? Otherwise, this was a great PDK Spyder - Sports Chrono, Sports Design Steering Wheel, LWBs. I guess I must be in the minority who love the first generation PDK implementation, with its "rough edges". I found the PDKs in my two 987.2 Spyders more engaging than the 2nd gen PDKs in my two 981 Caymans. As for no A/C, no big deal. Even in SC, I hardly use the A/C, with the sun shade feature such a boon. I would have thought that this offering should have reached at least $55K. But with an ABM in the house, I don't need another Spyder.

Mike - thanks for your PDK comments. I've driven a PDK Spyder and liked it, just never conisdered owning one. Can you flash them with a software update?

I have owned a PDK R, a PDK Spyder and am now rebuilding another PDK Spyder. I have also owned 3 Manual 964s, a tiptronic 996 TT and a tiptronic 955 and have a Tesla Model Y.

Each has their advantages. Fast backroad driving is sublime with the PDK, around town it’s not butter smooth but it’s acceptable. However I’m the first to recognise that it’s pointless marketing a configuration to a buyer when they are set on something else.

Wow, this salvage-titled R is already up to $20,200 with almost 2 days left. Clearly the intent is not a part-out (no $10k carbon buckets), but a rebuild and getting it back on the road.

Hasn’t met reserve yet, either.

speaking of, somebody should buy this one in the Seattle area listed for $59.9k.

This is still up. Beautiful car. I'm trying to justify it at 60k with no buckets or pse and accident, but it's giving me pause. Not a single LWB Manual on the market unfortunately, and it'd likely be much more.

Fairly priced given its mileage and history. Go for it - they ain’t makin’ any more.

And LWB are overrated IMHO.

Must've just met it.... It's listed as a "pure sale" now, so no reserve or minimum bid.

If any of you are considering bidding on the salvage R, keep in mind that there is sales tax, a co-part buyers fee and shipping/logistics. If you pay for the car via wired funds, there is a slight discount on the buyers fee. On the 22K Cayman I purchased from copart a few weeks back, I was all in for $28K. Auction starts in 35min, so curious to see where this one will go. If I didn't already buy my salvage Cayman S, I would have been a serious bidder on this one.

Yes, it will be interesting to see. Great colour, good miles, but PDK and Sport seats and Carrera Classic wheels

I'm guessing, $65K?

I'd say around $58k. I agree, the PDK/sofas always sell at a discount, and the Carrera Classics will hurt as well. If the car had the regular wheels, buckets, 6-speed, and PSE I would say $72k.
