Six cars signed up for NASA TWS April race. I'm happy to have more racing closer to home, a parked racecar is sadness.
In other news, some PCA lap records have been reset running RA-1s, our local field is tighting up and we're getting good life out of the tires---good decision all around to abandon the R888.

I think you had a pretty good look at how much fun the SM races are. Four-wide into T1 was a hoot.

NASA -- Spec Boxsters in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic
I'm curious whether there is much Spec Boxster participation in NASA races in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Just wondering if PCA is the only game in town or whether there are strong fields with other organizations. Thanks for any information in advance.

I just raced with Nasa MA last weekend. There were 3 SPB's. I know of 1 more built car in the region and one being built.
Interestingly, lots of people came up to talk about the car and expressed interest in the series as a replacement for the aging 944 cars. It's growing. I can't speak for the NE but I know of at least on new SPB in CT so I suspect it's growing there too.
PCA is still the biggest but Nasa offers more opportunities to race s I'm hoping more people make it to a NAsa weekend.

I got my most recent set from Frisby with quick delivery and they did a great job shaving them as well. Frisby is also a Rennlist sponsor... http://www.frisbyracetire.com

I'm in Minnesota.
I placed the order from TiresDirect.net on 4/22. I called them again this morning and supposedly the tires are in and getting shaved today ... so maybe I will have them later this week.
