Hunt:
Yes, it would direct a little bias to the rear. To equate it to Pagids, it would be like running RS29 front and RS14 rear.
I'll leave the jokes to the others
Oh, and don't forget to post a photo of what you brought home from Sebring.

Hopefully you'll see it this summer if you venture North again to see your old pals.

I'll be there. I am hoping to bring my 70 911 to do the NER DE at Mt Tremblant, followed later by NER's Watkins Glen just before heading up to New Foundland for the Targa. I'm sure we will overlap somewhere. Look forward to catching up with both you and Irene soon.

Leaking fluid question:
I noticed a lot of fluid, pretty sure it is trans not oil, all over the passenger underside of the car. I noticed this when the carrier dropped the car off from the trip back from Sebring. I didn't notice the fluid at the end of the enduro and when I went to pick up the car there was a puddle under the car. It had only been in that spot for a few hours.
This concerns me. A few explanations I got were overheating causing a leak at the axle shaft or the angle the car was situated on the transport. If it was overheating I would think the leak would have stopped since the car was raced on Sunday and this is the following Thursday. The wheel on that side spins big time in the hairpin at Sebring so I would not be surprised if something loosened up. Possible?
Any ideas?
Next question, I cleaned all the fluid so I could determine the source of the leak, however the car is not street legal. How do I get the trans up to temp to check for leaks without driving? Suggestions? Do I even need to simulate driving to check for the leak?

Hunt,
I would suggest finding a good spare trans and installing a cooler for sure. I think your best source for these would be ME!!! Since my car comes with both a good trans and cooler already inslalled AND a good spare my next suggestion would be part your car out and buy mine..

Sorry all, I should know better than to post from my phone. Somehow I managed to send that post of half writtten.
I am building a Spec Boxster and am in the middle of removing extra/unnecessary equipment to get the weight down. Given that I don't have side windows it is unlikely that I will be doing much driving in the rain. And assuming that I go to a lexan windshield, I was wondering if it makes sense to keep the windshield wipers.
What are other drivers doing?

Having a few cars without side windows it doesn't mean you will always be in the dry. I think having a wiper is a basic requirement on a race car. If you can get down to one blade and eliminate the extra linkages all the better.
