Dude, you need to taking weight out not putting it in

But I will get photos up as soon as soon as I work out how.

Mark, sorry to see you go, wished we had a chance to mix it up. Is the trailer in our out of the $45k package? It is a really nice build...

Thanks Jim. Tough decision that has been percolating for awhile. I sure wish we had a nice road course in Phoenix, I'm just not motivated to run Firebird. I bought a kart and have started running with PKRA - fun, cheap and easy!

The trailer is separate. Listed on eBay (230818296280). A 2006 version of the trailer, without the ramps/racks just sold on eBay for $12,100 (190693831711).

Yea, we desperately need a real road course, indie isn't that far though! Use to run a 125 shifter at PKRA, fun track.

Good luck with the sale hopefully it stays local, hopefully see you out at the track.

Anybody know what at reasonable (meaning competitive) lap time is for a SpecBox on the 1.7 mile circuit of MSR? I just spent the weekend there at a DE and felt OK but didn't have a frame of reference. Thanks for any help.

I believe that some of the quickest SPB guys turn laps in the 1:23-1:24 range.

Streak, where?

Lockout plates for the rear inboard control arm eccentrics would be a mantastic idea (for one).

see my comments on the proposed rule changes thread

looks like the mid-season changes are moot points for SPB

PCA rule change proposals for 2013

http://www.pca.org/portals/cr/2013Ru...eProposals.pdf

"SPB2.
Engine. Exhausts free after the heads. Reasoning presented: Improve performance of the car.

Engine. D: Power steering coolers are allowed. Reasoning presented: Even with the under drive pulley, with the allowed
wide front wheels the power steering system can still overheat. Coolers are relatively low cost, don’t improve performance
directly, and racers who have not had an overheating issue won’t be disadvantaged if they don’t do it..

3. Transmission. Limited slip differentials are allowed.. Reasoning presented: This would benefit the car in both
cornering and trail braking and minimize abrupt handling changes when an unloaded tire spins or locks. It should also save
on tire wear.

4. Suspension/Wheels/Tires. Revalving of the spec shocks is allowed. (please also comment on alternative:, any shock –
or any shock without an external canister – is allowed.) Springs are free. Reasoning presented: Improve the handling and
performance of the car."

Revalving of shocks, or "any shock" or "any shock without an external canister" "Springs are free"

Any of these in my opinion mean the start of the end for the series being a spec series.

Do you guys really see a LSD as a huge issue? It sure would be a lot more fun and allow you to run GTS easier. Totally agree on the shocks, springs and exhaust are a non starter...

944spec was in the same situation on LSD and allowed it, no big deal or impact...
