Anyone interested??? I have two 2.5l Boxster motors that I need to get out of my garage. One is a very low mileage, <13K, and the other has just been refreshed. Both are long blocks and will need all intake and some other small parts tranfered over. I'd like to get $3000 each or $5500 for the pair.
Thanks,
Tim

Mosport... anyone? I have a funny feeling I'm going to be alone sorting through SP2+3 cars.

During my last few races the trans has gotten progressively stiffer as it heats up, to the point where it gets difficult to downshift. Near the end of the session I had to double clutch. Not abusing the box and when it cools down shifts normally. So I'm thinking it's time for the trans cooler. Question is is this symptomatic of overheating or is there another issue...

^^^thanks for the confirmation, thought that was it but surprised at how sensitive they are, (guess it's still a chick car underneath...) Time for the cooler...
The 944spec box has a similar problem although not quite as bad, using redline high impact gear oil solved it for a few guys, anyone running it in a spec boxster?

I recently acquired the bits (mostly from eBay) and installed a transmission cooler on my SpecBox. Cost me about $400 all up and works perfectly. It was Texas temperatures at VIR last weekend and (when I remembered to turn it on) the box worked great - even after an hour and a half. If you need any pointers or help, drop me a line.
P.S. as an added bonus, by disconnecting one side or the other of the pump (which in my case is mounted in the trunk) you can use the system to drain and then refill the tranny fluid in about 10 minutes total. Much better than getting under the car and pouring oil on your head.

Laurie, you have a very nicely prepared car. Post some pics of your cooler when you get a chance. I need to build my own and figure out why my engine temps were so high. I have never had engine temp issues.
