Meh, Game Theory 101: Always maximize ADM on current allocations by expressing belief that no more allocations are coming. As more allocations come, "surprise" customers by telling them how lucky they've been to receive an allocation when none were expected. Rinse, repeat.
The numbers of cars/allocations will be limited of the production period because the engine will not pass EU-emissions after june 2018.

Same rumor running in the GT3 threads. Where did you get the info that these engines will not pass EU emissions by June 2018?
I just googled European Emissions 2018. Most results talk about diesel emissions regulations. Here's a link to the most dire "end of the combustion engine" article, and this article sounds like Chicken Little to me. http://europe.autonews.com/article/2...ines-future-in . As far as I can tell from the Google results, there is nothing there that would adversely impact Porsche GT3 or RS engines, certainly not by June 2018. But, I'm always eager to learn, so I would appreciate a link to where you got such definitive info.

This is pure dealer-talk. The engine wont pass after 2018, so there will only be 18 months of GT car production, then it will be the end of all GT cars, so you better buy yours now while you can! Allocations are limited. Cool story, bro!

I kinda figured as much. Despite multiple searches, the only mention about the EU emissions impacting Porshce GT3 or RS production is here in Rennlist. So, at best this is just an urban legend, at worst.....well, I'll leave it there.

VW Porsche has their issues all the Lamborghini Performante's are being held at port over EPA. Porsche is still in deep trouble nothing would surprise me ending NA engines is around the corner. Porsche GT2RS the new top performer it's going be very tough for Porsche to compete with NA 6 cylinders at 2 - 300k down 200 hp from the competition.
ones again: Euro6c is already valid from 01.Sept.2017 for the homologation of new models (NOT GenII, .2, Facelift, etc)
Euro6 engines are able to be first registered untill 01.Sept.2018
all the GT2RS and all the N/A 4.0 engines are Euro6 - so they are built for EU just till Aug.2018 - to be able to be first registered within 30.Aug.2018
than they will deliver/focus with the production for NorthAmerica, China, ROW,...
if somebody thinks this is blabla / urban myth / etc. i bet against: with 100$ for a good cause.
If i´m not sure i write it. here on this topic i´m 100% sure.
100 cars for GER... bs... imho
80 PorscheCentres within GER. Everybody to whom i spoke to is getting around 1-4 cars.
minimum 200 GT2RS will go the GER. 2.000+ cars world wide.
for comparison:
1.000 991.1GT3RS were registered in GER. (this are public numbers)
around 6.000+ world wide is the guess.
i guess Porsche could manage it somehow to get the GT2RS and the N/A 4.0 engine ready for Euro6c - but therefore they need to install a particle filter. the allowed amount of soot (fine particles) is with Euro6c just 1/10 compared to Euro6.
on DFI otto engines this is an issue which seems only to be solved with an additional filter. (AdBlue / urea)

Same info here....
I also heard from a reliably source that there will be something "limited" in Geneva 2018. The 918 owners know for sure more - but they won't tell us :-)
