Love the exterior color. A LOT more detail would be appreciated. But possible great track car candidate indeed.

Yep, that Mexico blue (well, sort of) salvage title with 125k was up for sale back in January by Rennlister Cardsrule. See posts 236 and 250 in this thread. It is for sale by a dealer now, so not sure if Cardsrule still owns it.
It was on ebay for $34k and here in the classifieds for $33,000 back then, so a $26,500 asking is quite a price drop. Frankly, even with the salvage title, miles and non-Porsche color, that's a good deal based on all of the recent work and new parts.

Default 2001 996 tt $26K

Not sure if this one has been posted before, apologies for the repeat if it has.

The dealer website looks legit, but looks like too good of a deal to be true...

At that price there has to be some salvage or motor waiting to explode, even with 90day warranty. That price just doesn't jive with the car listing.

Someone might make out like a bandit or expect to replace something major soon.

Is that Ontario California or Canada, I assume with the KMS for miles it's in Canada.

Drill down on their website, and "East Coast Motors" lists an address in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Google Maps shows it to be an office building. Hmm, you know how those East Coast types are that live in Minneapolis.

Could be like "Beverly Hills Car Club", which is nowhere near Beverly Hills.

Now that you mention that, in the one photo you can sort of make out Ontario across the top of the license plate, but the ad does say Ontario California... The area code of the number that texted the link to me was NY.

CA car, Ontario license plate, MN east coast office, NY phone #, I vote scam. Trying to get the deposit money up front with post purchase "inspection": "In order to secure this Item, Successful BUYER must within 24 hours of "Placing Order" to send to East Coast Motors the RESERVE DEPOSIT in the amount of 10-25% from total item price "

"You can buy a Supremely Certified car online with free nationwide delivery and a 3-day in-home test drive !"

I knew it seemed too good to be true, sorry for the bad lead!

I couldn't let it go and had to find out more about it. Chatting with the online representative she claims the car is in Ottawa, Ontario. Sent me this link to CARPROOF, looks like carfax.

Still smells like scam. Here is dialog of chat:
Chatting
Danielle Sialliano: Hi, how can I assist you today ?
→This price is very low for this car, what is wrong with the vehicle?
Danielle Sialliano: Hi let me check which one
Danielle Sialliano: The 996 Silver Porsche is on sale since last Friday.
Danielle Sialliano: but it has a clean title
Danielle Sialliano: If you want to receive a carproof on this Porsche just send me your email address and I will send you.
→Is it located in Ontario California?
Danielle Sialliano: Nope, Ontario, Canada
→OK, thank you
Danielle Sialliano: Ok I will send you very soon.
→OK, that's better than CA since I'm in OH. Which city in Ontario?
Danielle Sialliano: Ottawa
→Is it available to be looked at and test driven?
Danielle Sialliano: This comes directly from the showroom so upon sale you will have 3 days for trial period, 150 miles range before you decide to keep it or not.
Danielle Sialliano: It is fully inspected prior to sale.
→Is it purchased through your main office in MN in US $, or in Canada?
Danielle Sialliano: In US $
Danielle Sialliano: and yes through our office.
Danielle Sialliano: You can check here the carproof: https://reports.carproof.com/main?id...ekglBqBHN5ma+8
→how is import process and duty/tax handled?
Danielle Sialliano: We are importing first to our dealership so you don't pay any tax on this.
Danielle Sialliano: You are buying it as is. If you're seriously intended to purchase this Porsche , if you're going to hit the buy now button or to make us an offer on this item , after placing order we will start making arrangements to have this Porsche at our dealership within the next 2 business days or directly transported to your location if it's within the US & Canada.
Danielle Sialliano: Out of state buyers are not required the registration tax.
Danielle Sialliano: And you can also read more about being an out of state here: www.ecmotorsautogroup.com/out-of-state-buyers
→OK, thanks. I'll read that link

To avoid the risk of a scam on a lot of money, you could try buying the 2002 Ford Taurus listed at $2,800 with a lowball offer and see if that transaction goes through.

Anything that involves transferring money before you can actually see a car is a scam in my book.

Better to spend the money up front and buy a nice car with good records= cheaper in the long run. There are quite a few nice well priced examples advertised here. Broken record yes but its also common sense.
