I've spoke with the owner about this car. He had it on ebay with a couple of pictures with the wrap off. It seems pricey and I never followed up with him regarding the details of the "top end rebuild."

Cheers
I was reading ad on my phone and the black one was the only picture that showed up. The wording doesn't clearly indicate if that is the car for sale or not. Seeing the ad now on the computer with all the pictures of the exterior your take on it makes a little more sense.

I'm about 20 minutes from Wheaton. Should I go check this thing out guys?

The real question is: "Why would you not?"

Go for it! Seven months ago I was going to look at it now I can no longer afford (bought a house). Should I sell my 14' CD? Although it is probably not worth the ask on this 996 tt after the VW emissions cluster****. I don't think 996 tt make great DD in northwest Illinois.

From some of the pictures it at least validates being at Midwest Eurosport.

Wheaton you say... lets get the cars out to this weeks cruise night, there was a black one there last week along with other newer cars so we'd fit in enough

That car has been on and off eBay for a number of months.
Saw it a couple of times while I was looking for a green one.

Isn't it funny how you can get to know the market so well that you know the individual wallflowers?

77K miles certainly isn't low, but as others will say if the car's been well maintained, shouldn't be an issue. It's nicely equipped with sport seats...$41K is good deal if the car's clean and solid on maintenance (hard to tell actual condition from the pics).
