Hagerty's put the Boss Laguna Seca on it's top 10 future investment cars for 2014, i'd agree with that assessment.
I personally see the Shelby GT350 as having Porsche GT3 like value, sells for well over MSRP even used and will likely not drop much below that price over the years. The R versions I predict will be like the RS and likely only go up in value, especially if production ends in 2017 as suggested.
Well only the future knows for sure.
My concern for the GT350 is that they will be made in far greater numbers than the GT3s and for consecutive years. Huge numbers tend to work against collectible status. With likely 4000 to 5000 or more GT350s expected at the end of the day kind of hard to see it as a collectible.
The "R" ...maybe..Have to see what the production numbers are.
I can tell you had the Laguna at a show yesterday. Got lot of attention and admiration. Lots.
Add me to the list of Shelby-ites on Rennlist, got my order in for a 2017 GT350R after finding a dealer that wouldn't rake me over the coals.
Really looking forward to it, I think Ford did an amazing job delivering this level of performance at the price point it's at, just like the original did.
4-figures but that was after a VERY exhaustive dealer-to-dealer search through 5 states on the west coast. Generally the dealers are hovering around $20-30k ADM with some delusional ones as high as $100k.
got to chat with Randy Pobst at Road Atlanta yesterday in between lapping sessions in a friend's 918 and P1 (yes.. dream day I'll never forget).. anyway.. to stay on topic.. he said that the gt350R was one of his favorite out of the box cars he's ever driven on track. now THAT's saying something.
adding pics just for kicks because these cars were so insane that they are worth sharing.
Wow Alex that is one hell of a dream day. A 918 a P1 and hanging with Randy. Btw Is that a PAM 321 1950/3days PR
