Thumbs down AutoPartsWay is getting sloppy

I ordered a pitman arm and an idler arm for my Suburban project from AutoPartsWay (an online Canadian parts retailer, if you're not familiar) and they spent an extra day processing the order, before finally sending me the same tracking number for both parts. Anyway, the package arrived today with only one arm in it. When I called, I got a woman on the phone who seemed to have conversations via a confusing 5+ second delay.

This after wading through some confusing part labeling on their site (and an initial call to sales to figure out the difference between two identically- and incorrectly-labeled parts).

It's disheartening, and I wonder if they may be under new management because in the last few years, with the exception of my last two orders there, I've had nothing but excellent experiences on thousands of dollars of parts orders.

C,
A Suburban ?
Is this for hauling syrup or maybe something else ???
I too had a problem with them a few years ago. I ordered something ? I think it was for my Formula Four . Anyway, wrong part. Contacted them, printed off a shipping label, sent it back UPS on my dime.
They took forever to credit my MC .
Go to NAPA, get the good stuff.

This is what Brian keeps telling me, too.

Yeah, I picked up a Suburban and a Trailex to tow the 968. It's not really a street car, anymore.

dealt with them recently. very poor customer service. basically, you buy it and its yours, whether it's right or wrong part. Returns, basically forget it. I've dealt with alot of online parts places and they are the worst!

Maybe we should start a "Blacklist" sticky? That'd get some action...maybe.

Unfortunately, I've recommended them a few times in the past. I'm not sure I could anymore, though.

I've dealt with autopartsonlinecanada quite a few times in the past until they changed their shipping rules. And now with autopartsway poor service, who else is there to use here?

Yeah, they messed up my last order and still owe me a refund. Each time I call I sit on hold until I run out of time.

Another Canadian supplier. Not sure if they have much Porsche related stuff, although I haven't specifically checked.

you this was very similar to my experience..

I ordered it .. they printed a shipping label for it but i never received anything .. shipper said they never got a package .. autopartsway said they processed the order .. they actually just printed a label for the shipper the same way we do in our office ..

all customer service did was keep stating their policy , there is no customer service ..they would do NOTHING .. that company left me in a real bind ..

got my money back though after several months .. was only about a hundred bucks but i was NOT gonna let them steal from me ..

When I need something for my 944 I get it from Ian @ 944-on-line in Fla.
You actually get to talk with him, the son or I think, his DIL ?
Great service and they don`t bend you over on shipping cost.
Domestic parts you can get local NAPA ,CTC /Parts Source etc.Why pay the shipping ?

I don't know, I still think autopartsway.ca is the best option. I used them about a handful of times and never had a problem. Recently I tried canadapartsonline and got screwed badly. they overcharged me on shipping and shipped from the USA, and the wrong item at that. I got stuck with it because they told me i have to pay to ship back to the USA. With autopartsway i always got the correct part, at least so far, and shipping was always very quick.

one problem is this CTC / Parts Source is a total rip off .. i dont mind paying a little extra to buy Canadian .. but over double ? dont think so ..
