AutoPartsWay is getting sloppy

Though cheaper than anyone in Canada, I have found Pelican to be quite a bit more expensive than the economical US Porsche dealer parts departments. Eg. slave cylinder $936 at Pelican and $617 at Sonnen....who also ship USPS so no brokerage.

Yes, the note does say they're joining catalogues with pelican then you get re-directed to the pelican site.
I built a cart and tried checking out and there aren't any indications that the orders ship from Canada. The same Pelican shipping options and T's & C's apply.

Charlie - Maybe you can justy drive the Suburban to the Kingston meet! lol.
I recently ordered some parts from Pcarspecialist.ca. They are part of the Bimmer Specialist site. Order was shipped from Canada, was on time and correct.

Pcarspecialist has indeed joined Pelican Parts. Shipping will originate in the States and we are working on providing better fees for Canadian customers. We appreciate your business and understand it's not inexpensive for our Canadian neighbors but again, we're working on it.

I can tell you personally that I don't mind crossing the border to my US address, but would prefer not to always have to do that. Send me a PM if you want to talk about it further, as I note that you have some big changes planned, and I'd love to share my experience in this area.

Thought I'd bump this to say I'm finally once and for all finished with these idiots. I placed an order on Sept. 24. 2 days later UPS delivers a box. I open it the next day (Friday) and discover it's all wrong - someone put the wrong shipping label on the box - it's clearly someone else's order. Ok, not the end of the world, I'll contact them to send it back and have them send me the right order. UPS shows up again on Monday, I'm assuming to deliver the right order. Nope, it's to pick up the return. Uh, ok, fine, I tape it up and send it back. Several emails back and forth with customer service and they say they have to wait for the return package to arrive before they can send out my proper order. WTF? No way, cancel the order. Now they won't refund my credit card until they receive them back, despite that they're the ones who screwed up, not me.
So I said screw it, placed the order through Pelican. I ended up getting twice as much stuff for the same price, I just have to wait longer to get it.
I'm done with autopartsway for good now. Idiots.

So tell us how you really feel.
Same thing happened to a friend of mine. Autopartsway sent him the wrong part and he ended up payed approximately $40 to send it back. Wait a minute; they screw up and he had to pay for return shipping. I later suckered Autopartsway into sending me an e-mail stating that they will pay for return shipping if they screw up...e-mail on file.
I think Autopartsway should take up basket weaving or some other challenging past time like it...challenging for them, that is.
There is a reason why 90% of my shopping is done stateside.

Another Canadian supplier. Not sure if they have much Porsche related stuff, although I haven't specifically checked.

Yup almost exact thing happened to me. They have the worst customer service and the agents do nothing for you other than state their ridiculous policy. The agents are not empowered to help clients and outright lie. They always say they will call you back and really just want you off the phone

When I read about Canada's efforts to move from 'bricks to clicks' it seems to be a glacial pace at best. Never the less, I am glad that we have as 'many' suppliers as we do. There was a time...
Anyways, I'm always on the look-out for Canadian sources of PCar parts and I believe they exist it's just that they don't tend to have the same presence as, say, Pelican or Automotion. That is, there is little or no catalogue/search our site to them but this doesn't mean you can't get them here or a good price.
As an example I offer the following sites and services to which I have no affiliation:
1. Exo parts. While not named so, I found them by deciding to follow up on the many ads for German car parts that show up on Kijiji. You know, the one that says "Genuine PORSCHE Parts - WHOLESALE PRICES!!!" ? This required sending an email to request price and availability of parts for either an '87 924s or an '82 928. They got me the following:
2. Has anyone tried HP Cars? You'll find them at http://hpcars.ca/
They advertise having Factory OE parts, used parts and complete motors. Again, you won't find a database but rather a presumably limited list of available parts when you click the Parts link. I have as yet to try them.
3. Again from Kijiji comes eEuropeanparts.com And while not Canadian they are searchable and have a flat-rate shipping policy to the Great White North. Well, more than one rate actually but here's a sample:
[LIST][*]Canada Direct (3-7 Business Days) $19.99 - eEuroparts.com® is now a registered non-resident importer direct to Canada. This FedEx ground shipping method is a flat rate service which includes all HST/GST and brokerage. No additional fees will be due to receive your package. The time in transit is extended because packages only leave our facility once a week. All Canadian direct packages are consolidated weekly and shipped to Toronto. Once in Toronto they are placed into the domestic Canadian ground transit system resulting in a 1 - 6 day delivery from Toronto. No more shipping to a third party who re-ships your packages. We can ship directly to Canadian customers for little to no additional fees with a little extra wait.
The reality is there are lots of Canadian online parts sources that do a pretty good job of finding PCar parts at reasonable prices. The only drawback is that I can't find many searchable ones that have everything I want in one place but we'll catch up. Someday. Maybe.

- ignition switch and ignition key/tumblr for the same prices advertised on eBay
- a variety of relays--one cheaper than Pelican and the other for $20 instead of Pelican's $7.50 and door safety lights at less than what Pelican charges
- so far, all have been received in a timely manner

Almost ordered from this site....
I'll stick with Pelican I guess.
How is the shipping with them? What is the cost and how long does it usually take to ship to say, Kingston/Ottawa area?
