That's the fanciest way I've heard someone say "You smelt it you dealt it!"

FWIW I've only had good experineces at PCO and Motion Endeavours. Also good experiences at Pfaff (buying twice), MVL and World Fine Cars as well as Lauzon as someone else mentioned. Oh, also good experiences at Ferrari of Ontario (service) and Ferrari in MTL (can't remember dealer...bought 360). In fact, the only terrible experience I've had is with Alfa warranty.

Back to the dealers. Our limited experience has been that family-owned dealerships offer a better experience than the ones owned by corporate behemoths. I had great service from a Nissan dealership until it was bought out. Over the years we've had good experiences with a family-owned Ford dealership and 2 family-owned Hyundai dealerships. Though it is early days, we recently had a super buying experience with family-owned Gyro Hyundai/Mazda. After we had agreed on a vehicle I jokingly asked if they would throw in a blow-up paddle board used in a promotion and they did. Thought we got a great deal and apparently the owner reviews client experience surveys that impact employee performance reviews. Not sure this is that useful to performance SUV buyers since we have several sports cars and are not that interested in performance SUV's going for value, size, comfort and reliability. Family ownership might be something to look at though....

On the topic of dealers, for those of you who were Pfaff Porsche / Porsche Centre Vaughan customers, Mike McCarthy and Vince D'Angelo have decided to retire.

My recent dealer experience is as follows.

browsing the 718 spyder market, see this black one at Pfaff. Look into it and see it's got an accident claim for almost $30k. At the time they had it priced just below msrp.
I call and think perfect I'll negotiate 20% off msrp for that amount of damage given the current market adjustment decline on vehicles plus the damage claim and land somewhere in the 15-18% off range.

Wrong... sales guy said they are firm at there ask and to kick rocks. Wouldn't even entertain a sub 100k offer. Laughed me off the call.

i figured jokes on them, that car will sit. Week later it's been removed. Sold I assume.

Seems like the jokes on me after all.

30k in damages is no joke. It certanly depreciates the value far more then 10%.

if people are flying in to purchase a wrecked vehicle with a discount of a few grand off msrp then all the power to em but not going to fool this guy.

this is no special car. High spec or S-RS
@Cityfisher u the buyer?

Did they change the rules for CPO?
$30k damage could be mostly cosmetic depending on how early on in life it was claimed, but I'm shocked it is being sold CPO.

Def not. I have enough cars.

Few grand off maybe..but dealers don't drop 20k on a 120k car. Then will keep reducing until they get a bite.
