At least one time in the past under prior ownership, they closed down the middle and upper paddocks and folks were forced to park in the grass. Thankfully, that is not the case this year.

Gents we are almost ready for your arrival. I expect that the schedule will be in your email box by the time you read this. Doing the Pro course this weekend.

Paddock - we will have use of both the lower and middle paddock. the lower paddock is reserved for National sponsors and folks who are renting the garage. Middle paddock will be open and you can park in the grass.
personally I like parking in the grass up by the showers. lots of big shade trees and close to the bathrooms.

Mid Ohio school is promoting a teen driving school if you want to bring your Kids, I will try and post a flyer. They are also offering a twilight session. I think its a good deal you get 3 20 min sessions 5 till 8 pm. When I run SCCA I always do it, if you have not been to mid o this year, i can tell you its not like it was last year. For me I have had to put more cross weight in the car, track is tighter. I just raced it this passed weekend all the rubber from the Indy cars is washed off and the track was a little green.

Gates open at 2pm Thursday for parking and registration.

Test and Tune http://www.midohio.com/Store/School-...en-Testing---T

Hoosier tire Mid West will be there. Temps look to be perfect for the weekend in the mid 70's

See you at the track.

Looks like every class will be setting track records this weekend. I have to say, on the one hand I like the chicane but...on the other hand, I hated that chicane because it made for a very dicey passing zone, great if you got past a slower car and could stick the passed car between you and the competition because it would screw them through keyhole and likely all the way down the back straight. Blowing past the chicane is a much safer passing zone and does away with the somewhat frustrating wagon trains through the chicane and around keyhole..

The 2.4 mile w/out chicane and 2.4 are separate records. The chicane is about two seconds slower, depending, of course on class.

The track is a bit green, we had a lot of mist and rain last weekend but we laid down some decent times. I ran a low of 1:32:6 in my 944 on Sunday.

Are you in GTS4 or 5?

The last time I looked, I still had the club course record in NASA in GTS4 from 2006 or 07. Since NASA quit running the club course, it may stand forever

I am still waiting for my re-cap of the weekend from Mr. Good.

NASA runs the club course in April. I am currently in ST2 (8.7:1), having switched from GTS this year with the addition of a LS6.

Scott was on the hill and I am sure he has many a tale to tell.

My two cents. we will have a pretty good turn out for this event. That is a good thing. we run several classes in each run group. Having another decent passing zone improves safety. Its difficult to pass at Mid O while I do it all the time passing at the entry to the old turn 13, top of thunder Vally or on the outside of the chicane, but they are higher risk.

It will keep the traffic flowing better that is for sure.

By the way I am going to do a class room for the DE about Using and reading DATA Its a how to deal.

Is race gas available at Mid-O, can't find any details on the track's website. If it is, are the pumps usually reliable and full?

Thanks.

Just a note on gas pumps. They only accept credit cards.

Worked well every time I've used them. Even during DE weekends.
