I am going to order new tires for the new car. Should I buy fronts, rears or one front and one rear? Anyone?
If you plan to use Gregg's scheme for new tires it would be: Rears 20 heat cycles and fronts 15 heat cycles or when he eases into a 2 minute flat at Mid-Ohio.

Mid-O is such a great place it's tempting. I need a job that has more time off and pays more, too. Is Repka coming?

Repka is putting a (nother) engine together. I don't think he'll make MO but will do RA and hopefully swing down and do the fall/winter southern races. I'm securing a place for him to leave his trailer so we can do Summit, CMP and Roebling.

I want to do Daytona but looks like the wife's 40th B day party will be that weekend.

As of today 8/2/12: 7 more spots till we go to a wait list for the club race. Once we do, those who pay will get the seat over those who don't.

The DE is one or two away from a wait list, same deal registering will not guarantee a seat but paying does. I am so happy that this going to be a full, fun and competitive event. For those of you who have never been to Mid O I am going to try and put together some decent video showing the race line that we will be playing in the DE classrooms, all are welcome to attend.

Damn - I know a really good engine guy - my first one from 2007 is still going strong in my old car. Hope Mark gets back on the horse soon!

Winter circuit sounds fun!

Slightly OT, but Mid Ohio related question.

Does anyone have data to show the difference in lap time for pro vs. club course?

I've only run Pro twice and didn't have data at the time.

As I understand it 2-3 seconds is a safe estimation, I'd love to hear from those that actually have data to back that up.

He bought an enclosed trailer......that happened to come with a Formula Ford inside.

He's on the horse.....just trying to keep him on both ponies!

In PCA trim my personal best on the pro course is exactly 2 seconds faster than my personal best on the club course. Those times were recorded on different weekends and therefore under different conditions, but that should get you pretty close.

Depending on the speed of your car 1.5 to 2 seconds.
