I just figured out why all you E guys are so giddy. No Hupfer. No Buckley. No White. Only two of the top ten in E points will be there.
Jack, are you planning to make a speech when you're up on the podium?
I wonder who will be up there with you? Jim Child is a good bet. As is Evan Close. Brian maybe?
(in no way is this meant to jinx anyone )
Fortunately I have an excuse that keeps me away from certain humiliation at Mid-O.
And Welcome back , Chip!

I'm not writing any speeches yet!!... Hupfer, for some reason, always signs up at the last minute. He will be there...
But I do plan to bring 4 new tires.

I bet there was no significance to the attached map of the Pro course.
PCA traditionally races the Club course (with the chicane) but has also raced the Pro course too.
At the most, it will be a combination of the two configurations but I highly doubt it will be exclusively the Pro course. It has a better chance of being exclusively the Club course.

That is a generic track map not a prediction for the weekend. I will let Bryan respond but I am pretty sure we will be running the club course all weekend.

Generally speaking, I am not a big fan of changing the track configuration during a race weekend. Whichever it is, I vote stick with it for the whole weekend.

That's a disapointment. Every other racing organization has determined that the pro course makes for better racing. I don't know why we should be any different. Mid Ohio really needs the extra passing opportunity you get with the pro course.

Club course is great for DE but Pro course is much better for racing!!

I agree with the posters above that one configuration should be chosen and run the entire weekend. I honestly dont see PCA doing anything other than that.

I'll concede that the Pro course provides a better passing opportunity, but it's not like the Club course offers no opportunity to pass. I get inside people entering the Keyhole from the Chicane ALL THE TIME.
Plus, the Chicane is fun as hell (and certainly more challenging). I could go either way...

We have this debate every year.

I'm with Astroman
I think the club course is more fun--you can make up a lot of ground on people into and through chicane.
