So little time and money and so many tracks to race on!

That happens quite a lot actually, especially with first timers. I always watch to see who does a drive through the hot pits to see who pitted on accident. The Viper guys like to split the difference and use the grass to slide down the hill (backwards).

I played it cool and stopped in pit lane for a minute before i went back out. But on my second lap I almost went in the ALMS pit on the inside.

I did the same thing! Actually, I followed a train of about 3-4 cars into pit lane on my first lap. So unless they ALL needed to pit for some reason, I'd say you're in good company.

I have a question, On my pit out after my 5 minute stop in the enduro. I was held up by a car waiting at the pit out timing cone. He held me up for about 5 to 10 seconds. Is it ok to pass the car or is that a big NO NO

It's illegal to sit at the line or even continue at a CRAWL... you should be allowed to use the chrome bumper in that situation and he should get a stop and go penalty.

If it was a black 924 it was me - my apologies but I do have an excuse. The pit marshall at pit out, whom I know well, made a strange move with his right orange gloved hand. I couldn't figure out what he was doing so I stopped. Someone passed me on the left. It was not my intent to stop at the cone but his action really screwed me up.

And, for what it's worth I thought the Apex display with the energy drink was classless, especially on Sunday with many wives and kids cruising the pits. Should have kept the crap in the trailer.

No, it was not you, all I will say is the car had numbers on it and made loud noises when he steped on the gas. I still would like to know if I could have passed the car leagaly.

In my instance during the enduro I clearly stopped at pit out and was clearly passed by another car to the inside. I didn't hear anything about anyone being penalized so my guess is in that instance a pass is ok. No one came to me either but I was prepared to explain (video) what happened. The move the pit marshall made was unusual and confusing verified by the video. If I had broken down, would they expect you to stay behind until I was cleared?

Ah Ha......I now know who spun in front of me at Summit. Thanks for the videos. I hope everyone enjoyed Road Atlanta last weekend. No rain tires required for a change!

Yes, that was a mechanical issue as well, I have had more than my share the last few races.
