PCA Club Race at Road Atlanta
If you are registered and haven't paid, you might want to go ahead and git 'er done. We are considering adding a second DE group since paid racers are scarce for the last few years. If you haven't registered OR paid and you want to race at Road Atlanta this year you better hurry. We are leaning heavily toward limiting racers to 2 groups, or somewhere around 110 cars.
If you are familiar with what happened at Sebring this year I would encourage you to register and pay asap.
Thanks,
David

Great for the DE guys not so great for the racers. I am surprised at the numbers given the turnout at Sebring. I know the weather over the past few years has not been great, but come on, all it means is we are due for a great weather weekend this year!

Registered and paid. 10 D-Class cars and 10 E-Class cars, last time I checked. Going to be some close racing rain or shine (my vote's for shine). Come on all you "Connecticut Stock" boys! Its only a 16 hour tow.

I haven't studied the rules on exactly how the point system works, but could low turnout for this race benefit those who attend, i.e. greater chance for higher number of points plus you are getting points for just showing up too. If you normally run 10th when 10 cars show up and only 5 are going to RA, aren't you better off going to RA rather than Sebring where 10 might show up for example.
If you are normally at the sharp end of the finishing order, the well attended races with potentially 10 bonus points sure provides an incentive to do 4 big race weekends.

You are going to absolutely love it. Turn 1 is my all-time favorite corner and 12 is exhilarating (ie terrifying) to say the least.
15 cars in E class and 11 in D class so far (I can't ever recall so many cars in D class since I started racing in '09).
There are 9 cars in F, 7 in GT5, and 15 in SP2-3 (hopefully they will not do a split start).
The "slow" race group is looking like a lot of fun!
