Man! What a stunning weekend. Great weather. Great racing. I got my first PCA podium. Took 2nd place in Race 2.
Got to connect with old and new friends, including The Big Turtle himself.

You guys who didn't come this year missed a near perfect track and a very smooth running event. Read um and weep.

Unbelievable weather. Not a single session on Fri, Sat, Sun was rained out. Who would've thought that I would need my "dark" tinted helmet visor all day on Sat/Sun!

Road Atlanta is so fun and intimidating. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Thanks Peachstate PCA!

Congratulation on your podium, Jack. Great driving. Too bad about your mechanical hiccup in Race 2. Looked like you were running near the front.

Weather nirvana!!!

Thanks.

Yes very frustrating about Sprint 2... one of the two bolts that connects my shift linkage loosened and fell out... the only gear I could find was 4th gear. But I was glad that my transmission wasn't toast. And it only took about 5 minutes to fix.

A similar thing happened to me in the enduro at WG last year when the bolt that attaches my gear shifter to the shift rod loosened and fell out... and then my shifter fell to the floor.

Damnit these little transmission/shifter gremlins...

It was great to meet a number of fellow Rennlisters (Randy, Jack, Chris, etc.) this weekend and thanks to the drivers who were behind me in enduro B when I had a sudden loss of tire pressure in turn 1 and went spinning up the hill. The skill you guys demonstrated in avoiding me was truly impressive and I am sorry if that incident messed up or ended your race. If anyone has a video, I would love to see it please post it or PM me, whatever you prefer.

Great weekend even though I threw a rod through the oil pan in sprint 2. I learned a lot and have much respect for the guys throwing the SP1 cars around. It is crazy the things you can do and get away with in those cars.

Learning how and where to be passed was an invaluable lesson I learned this weekend.

Cool you got your car together in time! Was it tyre, wheel, or drover that caused it? Any damage?

Sorry to see you exit early. Your learning curve was improving fast! Hope you put that thing back together and come back out. Watkins Glen is coming

No car damage, got lucky for a change. Afterward, we found that three of the bolts that hold the three piece wheels together were broken on the left rear, the tire that is under the greatest load in turn one.

despite me being BY FAR the slowest car in Group 1, I had a great time...learned a lot about driving your mirrors!! Cory ran by me so fast once that it sucked the power right out...I was dead in the water right after he passed...

Prior to the new engine, I had more car than engine. Now I have more engine than car. I can't hold grip anywhere...so it's time for some development work on aero, downforce, tires, gearing, etc.

Learned a lot about how to drive with what I got and dropped 5 seconds from Friday practices to Sunday enduro.

THANK you to all the cup cars for not hitting me...

Jack...went around the paddock a couple times and never found you... where were you parked??

All in all.... a great weekend. Those that skipped it missed a fun time!

Frank -
Great to meet you and enjoyed our extended dice in Sprint 2. Well I would have enjoyed it more if I could have kept you behind me! Look forward to our next meeting!
Cheers
Randy
