Vettel

As scary as it may seem, I think the RBR car will do even better than it has in the past few races. Vettel has mentioned on more than one occasion the "lack of fast corners" on the street races. Well, Silverstone has plenty of them.

Sato
Nothing can slow him down, not concrete retaining walls, not even the FIA.

The most interesting aspect to the weekend will be how the new ECU rules regarding off throttle and hot blown diffusers affect Red Bull and Renault.

Therefore if everything goes to FIA plans, expect a win by Ferarri.

Rooting for Button, but I suspect RBR / Vettel has the advantage (unless it rains).

It will be interesting if the mid season aero rules jostles the pack. The engine mapping didn't seem to make a big change, maybe McLaren was a slower on race day, but hard to tell.

Vettel in the dry. Open season in the wet.

From reports out of England, the McLaren duo seem to think they have a good shot of going 1-2 in this race. Don't know if that is just bravado for the local ticket sales, but that's what they're saying.

6 wins, 2 seconds & a high speed track where his car excels? Vettel & Red Bull are on such a roll that it is hard to imaginge anyone else even coming close here.

Ferrari will make a comeback like last yr. This is where it all started last yr as well. Looks like McLaren is usually quicker to react earlier in the yr but lose their mojo by this point. Going forward, I expect Ferrari to keep getting better and potentially catch up to RBR eventually.

Vettel takes the win. I've been doing some thinking about what makes that car so quick and I'm convinced that it isn't just one thing, but a whole variety. Simply changing the exhaust blown diffuser regs probably isn't going to stop them. Ferrari claim that they're not quitting, and they shouldn't, because the rules next year don't allow for wholesale changes, so development on this year's car can be rolled into next year's chassis. Pat Fry is on record saying that Ferrari have to get creative next year though. IMO, Mclaren needs to make some fairly aggressive steps to keep up with the competition. They always seem to have a competitive car in race trim but never make the most of it.

I am going with Fernando for the win. I'm thinking Hamilton and Vettel in no particular order behind Alonso I think that Fernando has nothing to lose, and he can drive "***** out" and even take a few more chances. The Italia 150 has looked pretty good in the last few races and if the front guys make a couple of mistakes, Fernando will be there to take the lead

Newey .. You mean the guy that Ferrari tried to hire away from Red Bull during this off season?

I wonder why he said No ?
